(Toufan Car & Audio Competition Season 2)

SINGLE SET UP

1 SET OF COMPONENT
- INCLUDES ONE SET OF COMPONENTS UP TO 6.5” OF SPEAKER DIAMETER IN ACTIVE OR PASSIVE, IN 2-WAY OR 3-WAY CONFIGURATION SETUP PLUS SUBWOOFER/S AND UNLIMITED AMP WATTAGE.
- ONLY ONE SET OF EACH SPEAKER SIZE SHALL BE ACCEPTED. FOR EXAMPLE: 1 SET OF TWEETER + 1 SET OF 3” OR 4” OR 5” MIDRANGE, AND 1 SET OF 6.5” SPEAKER.

IMPORTANT NOTE:
- To promote fair competition, setups with mid-bass speakers that has an FS of not less than 100 Hz shall be considered as a raw driver, even if the speaker manufacturer considers the set as “COMPONENT SPEAKERS” and will be immediately bumped up to the SINGLE RAW CATEGORY.
- To promote fair competition Bullet Tweeters shall not be considered on this category even if the speaker manufacturer considers the set as “COMPONENT SPEAKERS” and will be immediately bumped up to the SINGLE RAW CATEGORY.

UNLIMITED SETUP

UNLIMITED NUMBER AND SIZE AND TYPE OF TWEETERS, SPEAKERS, SUBWOOFERS AND UNLIMITED AMP WATTAGE.
JUDGING RULES:

• SINGLE COMPONENT AND SINGLE RAW 6.5”
- System will be judged at a distance of 5 meters (15 ft.) from the bumper of the vehicle.
- The competitors have the option for the trunk to be open or closed to suite and maximize the playability and sound reproduction of his setup.

• SINGLE RAW 8” and 10”
- System will be judged at a distance of 10 meters (33 ft.) from the bumper of the vehicle.
- The competitors have the option for the trunk to be open or closed to suite and maximize the playability and sound reproduction of his setup.

• UNLIMITED SETUP
- System will be judged at a distance of 15 meters (45 ft.) from the bumper of the vehicle.
- The competitors have the option for the trunk to be open or closed to suite and maximize the playability and sound reproduction of his setup.

• VOLUME CONTROL
- The competitor shall decide how much the volume of his setup will be during the judging period and will NOT be allowed to alter the volume once the judging track has started playing.
- Judges have the right to request ONLY to INCREASE the volume if necessary and will not affect the score sheet.
- The competitor may REFUSE to decline the judge’s request to increase the volume if the competitor specifies that it will cause distortion on the sound reproduction of his setup.

• SYSTEM MALFUCTION
- Any FULL System Malfunction will automatically get the lowest score in all the categories in the score sheet.
- Any PARTICULAR Malfunction (Subs / Mids / Tweeters not working) will still be judged accordingly based on the working set/s of speakers and will get the lowest score on a particular category in the score sheet.
- Once the judging track has been PLAYED, judging will STILL continue in case any system malfunction occurs.

• TIE BREAKER
- IN CASE a Tie Breaker occurs, a DEMO SONG (participant’s own choice of track) will be played and audience impact and organizer’s decision will be the basis for judging.

SCORE SHEET:
• THE SYSTEM WILL BE SCORED BY THE JUDGES AS FOLLOWS:
- HIGHS / TWEETERS: Harshness, crispiness, sizzles and overall compliment to the music. Highest of 15 and lowest of 1 in 0.5 increments to avoid tie breakers.
- MIDBASS / MIDRANGE: Voice quality, attack and decay of instruments, and natural sound of instruments. Highest of 15 and lowest of 1 in 0.5 increments to avoid tie breakers.
- LOWS / BASS / SUB BASS: Control, Extension, and accuracy. Highest of 15 and lowest of 1 in 0.5 increments to avoid tie breakers.

SPL: Organizers will check which category you'll fall into.

Participants are being called randomly by category, scoresheets are given to judges without details.

After the judging score, organizer will let the participant sign and acknowledge his score.
