Le Festival de la Gastronomie de Saint Martin had its first public event yesterday in Marigot. Many came to Rue de la Republique, where lights, music, and BBQ smell awaited them.
The entire street was beautifully lit, and eight famous BBQ restaurants from the French side were lined up to cook the best smoky meals for you.
Each stand had to present its best ribs, chicken, lobster, snapper, and oxtail live on stage. In between the tasty dishes, bands were playing live music for their visitors, and with screens spread all over, you could enjoy.
At the Tourism Office stand, you get a scannable card on which you can put any amount you like to buy drinks. Food was cash only.
For those that missed this event, make sure not to miss the Gastronomy Village, which is open from the 18th to the 20th of November on the seafront of Marigot. For three days, you can enjoy drinks, food, local products, tastings, and a mixology competition. Alongside lots of live music and entertainment on stage!
