Organizing the General Assembly of Union of European Railway Engineer Associations, creating a European network for a sector that is of great importance for emission reduction. There are a lot of challenges ahead and lots of work to do.
What I like most about Associations is meeting smart and interesting people from different backgrounds, that come together to create something for a bigger cause.

Last week it was a great pleasure again to organize the symposium for the German Speaking Hand Surgeons in Bad Homburg with over 220 participants, 31 exhibitors and 60 speakers.
I must admit, that apart from feeling professionally accomplished, there is a lot of fun to it thanks to the great people I get to work with.

Had a very productive site inspection for next years DAH Symposium in Bad Homburg, defining many programme details and deciding on hotels and venues. Greatful for having arrived despite of delays at the airport due to understaffing. Now made it through the security check after one hour of waiting and hoping to get back home today.

Finally held a successful Symposium in Bozen, Italy after 2 years of postponing. I am very thankful that everything went smooth and all the providers were professional an reliable after investing so much work in this. Thank you to the massive interest from the participants. It was great to see all the familiar faces again and enjoy a great Gala Evening with an award-winning gourmet catering.

Another year is over and to be honest, is was another complicated year for our industry. We have reinvented ourselfs over again.

Nach mehrmaligem Verschieben des jährlichen Kongresses meines Kunden haben wir letztendlich ein mehrtägiges Virtuelles Symposium daraus gemacht, gespickt mit vielen Videos, um die Hands-on Kurse so weit als möglich zu ersetzen. Auch Runde Tische mit den Experten durften nicht fehlen. Vielen Dank für die zahlreiche Teilnahme!

After postponing my clients annual congress several times, we finally turned it into a multi-day virtual symposium, including many videos, in order to replace the hands-on courses as far as possible. Participants could ask the experts in Round table discussions. Thank you for the numerous participation!

Heute übernahm ich die Organisation eines Ehrensymposiums für einen Kunden, der mir besonders am Herzen liegt.
Es war ein gebührender Rückblick auf seine Karriere mit vielen interessanten wissenschaftlichen Schmankerln, unterhaltsamen Anekdoten und auch ein wunderschöner Anlass, um sich endlich wieder persönlich zu treffen und zu vernetzen mit anderen Kollegen.

Today I have organized an honorary symposium for a special client. It was beautiful review of his career with many unusual and stunning scientific cases, entertaining anecdotes and also a wonderful occasion to finally meet again in person and network with other colleagues.

Ich habe lange nicht mehr so viel gelacht wie beim pannonisch kulturell kulinarischen Ausklang ins Burgenland mit den Referenten des Ehrensymposiums. Es wurde so manches Glas Wein getrunken und Anektoden erzählt. Chirurgen haben einen besonderen Sinn für Humor. Ein gebührender Ausklang.

Besonders empfehlenswert für Veranstaltungen ist das Weingut Hannes Reeh in Andau.

I haven't had such a good laugh in quite some time!
At the post event excursion with the speakers of the honorary symposium we tasted wines and listened to anecdotes. Surgeons have a special kind of humor. It was a very nice conclusion of the event.
