For those who suffer with their mental health at this time of year, and find the darker end of the music spectrum a balm to help them balance, allow me to re-share this radio show from last month.

This is an hour of halftime dnb, full of tense and brooding atmospheres and space between the breaks to take in the full construct of sound.

It's not a perfect mix, but if it can help one person forget about their problems, if only for 60 minutes, it's worth it.

It's been a while since there has been any updates, and I thought I'd explain why.

The first (and so far, only) release took a lot out me, mentally. I wasn't prepared for how much work it was going to take, and when NYCT001 didn't do as well as I hoped, I took it personally.

Since then, I've dealt with some mental health issues, family and family-health issues, and some other things in my personal life.

However, I have been keeping the Nyctophilia name alive with my residency show on Toxic Sickness (all of which can be found in this playlist: https://soundcloud.com/.../nyctophilia-on-toxic-sickness)

I am currently deciding what the future holds for the label, and will update you all as soon as I can. In the meantime, NYCT001 has been made available as a "Name Your Price" download.

For now, thank you for your support, and keep embracing the darkness.

Recent discussions and reflection has made me realise I'm probably not neurotypical. I'm not sure what that means for me, yet, or where I sit in the neurodivergent community, but it's something I'm starting to explore.

With that in mind, and my tendency to ignore certain styles of music that I like because I don't really get "chance" to play it (I do, but I tell myself it's not suitable for the online stations I play on, go figure), I decided to start a new series of mixes.

The first volume of the "Neurospicy" series has landed. These mixes will focus on the classic neurofunk sound, new and old, and explore a sound I pay too little attention to.
