I am the one who knocks. No, seriously.

At the early age of 12 Maximilian Jonas discovered Drum 'n' Bass and was instantly hooked. Still young he snuck into his first Drum 'n' Bass parties not too much later. The more he learned about the different genres and play styles of Drum 'n' Bass the more his passion grew and he started to develop a huge affection for its darker and harder variants (like Techstep, Drumstep, Darkstep, Neurofunk and finally Crossbreed). He soon started getting into DJing himself and made his first experiences as a music producer while still in his teens. That’s when the Skypax project was born. Starting out with utilizing mostly Neurofunk for his sets he got increasingly into Crossbreed in late 2017 and began adding Hardcore to his mixing style in 2018.

Skypax got most his inspiration from acts like Gancher & Ruin, Hallucinator, eDUB, Sinister Souls, Gydra, Maztek, A.M.C, Blacksun Empire and many more. After many years of discovery and experimentation his current style is fast, aggressive and bursts of energy. His track selection consists of heavy basslines and lots of percussions to keep things interesting. He has been described by other DJs playing alongside him as being “one of, if not *the* hardest Drum 'n' Bass DJ in Vienna” - a label he wears with a sense of pride. Today he continues to push forward, working and refining his skills, watching, learning and trying new techniques, always hungry for more and never afraid of new challenges. One of his most important goals right now is to gain more experience in and a deeper understanding of producing music to eventually get something done he himself can be satisfied with and consider worth releasing. Since 2017 he has been joining and working with several local Drum 'n' Bass crews - “Push 4 DNB”, “Neurofunk, what else?!”, “Smokin’ Basses” and “Cebrex” among them.
