The Festival of the Lamb has wrapped up, but I cannot begin to explain how amazing the whole week was!
From seeing firsthand how our hardworking sheep farmers do it (Martindale Farm & Nyowee Farm), to incredible chefs who are making such a difference in our food flight. The wonderful dinners with community minded people, to tasting the most delicious produce, all from the breathtaking Clare Valley. Visited the Polish Hill River Church Museum which was very interesting. So much to discover in this region!

I cannot wait to be back. I definitely have a new found respect for all the beautiful people that make up the Clare Valley. It definitely is, one of the most unique, heartwarming, and grounding places on earth.

An amazing day yesterday at the Clare Valley Festival of the Lamb.
From visiting a sheep farm, to having a tour of the incredible Watervale Hotel, to cooking dinner for the official launch of the Festival.

Vicky Tolotta (Turkish chef) cooked the entree and I did a Polish inspired main course. Using, of course the most delicious lamb I've eaten in a long time (Martindale Farm).
Volunteers were wonderful and we had an unforgettable evening (especially when the vodka came out (which was made for the occasion by Sawmill Distillery)

Clare Valley Festival of the Lamb has started! A very cold start to the morning, visiting Martindale Farm, listening to Graham who is the owner of the incredible sheep farm. Very educational!
Tonight, I serve his lamb rumps for the main course of the Launch Dinner!

Festival Launch and Dinner key note speaker/s featuring local lamb producers Chelwood and Martindale Farm and visiting guest Chefs Judyta Slupnicki (Polish) and Vicky Tolotta (Türkiye Hunkar Begendi - Sultan’s Delight) with hand crafted, estate grown wines Reilly’s wines. Speakers are Jane Kellock Chair of the South Australian Sheep and Beef Blueprints and Brendan Kluska and Pat Dawson from the Polish Society to provide information on the Polish migrants influence on the Clare Valley. $45 per person 2 course meal + entry drink.
