Another great day on Sunday considering we started late on our wine tour to the Barossa Valley. Luke and his friends are over from W.A. As planned we headed over to the Barossa Valley and arrived at



Once we arrived at Thorn-Clark Wines, Christie made us welcome like we were family. Christie is so bubbly and welcoming that Luke and their friends don't want to go anywhere else. Drinking and listening to their music as it was a glorious sunny day.

The day was full of laughter and giggle, especially when we stopped at a halt to see the kangaroos just for Leonia on our way to Mt Lofty Summit to see the sunset or was it sunrise???🤣🤣🤣

After a busy morning of picking up and dropping off passengers at the airport or Mount Barker Oval, I was finally able to have breakfast and lunch.
It was the last trip for the Toyota Camry, as Angel's Chauffeurs has a new team member coming to the team on Friday.

Since I couldn't find anything open, I stumbled upon a little café in Nairne called . This was my first time visiting this café, and Marcelo, the owner, made me feel very welcome.
I must say, the service was exceptional, and so was the food. I'd rate both a solid 10/10.

Have you ever taken part in a wine tasting? Would you like to organize a wine tasting with your friends?
Today I want to suggest you 7 tips for a better wine tasting! If you love wine, you’ll surely take part in some of them.
How can you improve your wine tasting?
There are some tricks that could change completely this moment. I invite you to follow these 7 suggestions for a great experience!
1. NEUTRAL ROOM
You should be in a neutral room for a better wine tasting with good lights, white or faint colors walls. You need a white tablecloth. These characteristics are necessary for visual examination.
I suggest you wear a white shirt so in any case you have a solution for the visual examination.
To love a good olfactory examination, it’s important that there aren’t any smells in the room, and you shouldn’t have some perfumes on.
2. DON’T EAT
It’s important not to eat before and during a wine tasting, especially food with intense and persistent tastes (onion, garlic, truffle, etc.) or spicy tastes (coffee, pepper, cinnamon, etc.). These flavors could alternate your taste buds and you’ll not able to do a precise taste examination.
3. BEST TIME
You should be in good psychophysical conditions, as you need attention and concentration. The best moment should be in the morning, but also in the late afternoon (distant to the lunch) could be ok.
4. OPEN MIND
Don’t be influenced by the label on the bottle, you could taste a lousy wine of a big winery or an excellent wine of a small winery. Don’t drink always and only the same wines, you should taste new wines so you can increase your wine experience.
5. CORRECT SEQUENCE OF WINES
If you drink some wines before after, your taste buds could inhibit themselves. Follow the correct sequence, start from young white wines until old red wines and end your wine tasting with dessert wines. Don’t taste more than 12-15 different wines.
6. FRIENDS
You should taste wine with your friends. You can compare with them which smells or tastes you’ve found in your wine glass and vice versa.
7. RESPECT WINEMAKER
This point isn’t necessary for a better wine tasting, but it’s only a suggestion.
A wine tasting is a moment of pleasure, you shouldn’t deliver a verdict! You could find surely bad wines in your life. Remember that you take some minutes to drink a wine bottle, whereas a winemaker takes some years to produce that.

What is phylloxera in South Australia?

This tiny insect pest destroys grapevines by feeding on their roots. Almost 75% of vines in South Australia are susceptible to attack. Once vines are infested, they will die within six years. There is no eradicative treatment, so infested vineyards must be replanted on phylloxera-tolerant rootstock.
