Mrs Judith Stutchbury received the Prime Minister’s Prize for Excellence in Science Teaching in Primary Schools.

She was recognised for her marine conservation programs,
focusing on endangered species like loggerhead sea turtles in the Great Barrier Reef.

“People don’t often see what’s happening in the classroom. This is a lovely recognition for all the amazing work that teachers do in the classroom for science.”

“To be nominated for this prize, I was actually quite reluctant, but then I understood the importance of showcasing science.”

Do you know someone making an impact through science? Nominate them for the 2024 Prime Minister’s Prizes for Science: industry.gov.au/PMPrizes
