Like many of you, my love affair with flowers was initially guided by a widespread belief - that only genuine blooms can truly add charm to any space. I was mesmerised by the enchanting allure of fresh petals, assuming they possessed an allure that could never be mirrored by artificial flowers. However, as I delved deeper into the artistry of floral design, I found myself challenging this presumption.

Whether it is a large bouquet or a single statement piece, flowers have a unique way of expressing our love. They delight our sense of style and remind us that someone cares.

The seed of inspiration for All Felt Blooms occurred to me while working a night shift as a nurse.

I was throwing out a gifted bunch of flowers on behalf of a patient I had cared for.

Still wrapped in paper.

They now drooped over the edge of the vase with a damp, wet smell.

A soggy composition of floral stems at the bottom. 🥀

Into the bin, they went! 🗑️

I thought to myself; "How could someone make flowers last longer?" 🤔

Also...

Wouldn’t it be nice if you could take them home once you’re on the mend? 🏡

This bouquet has been designed for this very purpose. It will not only serve as a beautiful distraction but also a reminder of love from family.

Hot off the press today. Settle in and
I’ll tell you how this design came about.

On launch day of my Etsy shop last year, I received a beautiful bunch of flowers and they had paper daisies in them.

I had never come across them previously. They fascinated me. I stared at them for longer than I’d like to admit. I decided to dissect one on the kitchen bench.

Tiny petals, formatted rows. What I had…..was a mess 😂.

I quickly measured and drew them.
Made 6 attempts before perfecting what you now see as the felt paper daisy design.

Every bouquet I send out with one of these in it brings a smile to my face and I hope they do for you in your home too.

Real talk! Art Healed Heart ❤️‍🩹 Creating All Felt Blooms originally was based on giving patients in hospital beds access flowers that would be a daily encouragement that healing takes time. You would take these flowers home when you leave. 🧼 No mess 👃No funky damp smell 🥀 No death 🐑 The anti microbial properties of wool was an epic bonus ticking off hospital policy.
