Hi there!
For those who are new here and don’t know me, I’m Jim and here is a little bit about me…
I was born and raised in Bathurst with my 13 brothers and sisters! I have always loved meeting and talking with people and have found myself in many careers where this has been the centre of my role. Many people know me as the fun-loving, happy-go-lucky person who is often spotted at parkrun, hitting the road with the caravan, or out and about with my family.
Over the years I have been the MC at many family and friend events, running trivia nights, wedding receptions and the occasional graduation! I decided to become an authorised celebrant after my nephew got engaged and wanted me to marry him and his fiance. It was a privilege to be asked and it got me thinking about a potential new hobby.
What I thought would be a hobby has since turned into a fantastic career. I absolutely love being a small part of some of the biggest moments in people’s lives, seeing the joy the day brings, and the lifetime of friendship and happiness that follows.
Marriage means a lot to me. Quite a few years ago I met a beautiful lady when I worked at a local hotel. She would come in each week to be with her girlfriends, however, I believe that she was secretly checking me out! One might say the rest is history… I have been married to my gorgeous wife Gayle for 28 years now and we often think back and talk about our own wedding day and how special it was, and still is to us. Since that day we have been to so many family and friends weddings and the feeling never gets old.
