Welllllll hello 2024/25 wedding season, I’m comin’ for ya!

A big howdy doody and hey hey to new friends and old 👋

I’m Steph 💃🏻

I like true crime podcasts (currently listening to Lost in Panama, holy guacamole 🥑),
I wrote an honours thesis on the Twilight Phenomenon 🦇(and a PhD on collaborative multimodal reasoning through multiliteracies… I know it doesn’t sound as cool, but it was!),
I love 60s and 70s music especially,
I’m an empath,
I work with regional schools and support regional students who have aspirations for higher ed (because everyone deserves the right to tertiary education if they choose it),
and I’m a big family gal 🧑‍🧑‍🧒‍🧒 with two sassy, sweeties 🌝🌞

I have always loved stories.
Listening to them, telling them.

And I firmly believe your celebration (whether that be a declaration of love, of life lived or a life welcomed) needs to be a telling of your story.
On your terms, and personalised.

Just a few sweet mems from Zoe and Jared’s super sweet party celebration 🫶🏻

I met these two cuties the day before their nuptials and it was like having a drink and catch up with some mates.
They were cheeky.
They were relaxed (I adored this!).
And (my fav observation) they were a family, having been together for over fourteen years and having brought the cutest little kiddo into the world 🧑‍🧑‍🧒

Now, the brief for this legendary day was:
Let’s get the formalities out of the way so we can let our hair down and party!
And that’s what we did.

We spoke about love, family and my absolute favourite part of the ceremony (other than those sweet, sweet vows) these two deciding to have a SURPRISE WEDDING PARTY.

It was so fun to watch play out!

We played gameshow music whilst calling out the couple’s besties, ride or dies and best mates to the front of that gorgeous Conservatory within Rosalind Park.

We even had an honorary flower girl 💐👼

Holy guacamole 🥑 loverino fam!

I know awards aren’t the sum of a person’s character.
It doesn’t tell you whether I treat wait staff with respect, recycle my rubbish, or cry when Mufasa dies in The Lion King**

But I’d be lying if I didn’t say I wasn’t positively chuffed to see my name up on the screen alongside some stellar vendors and friends.

So thanks to my loverinos.
This working mum with two jobs and a young family, trying to figure out the juggle (FOREVER figuring out the juggle 🙈) appreciates you taking the time to type my name in a little online box.

I watched the awards with some of my pals and it was just fun to cheer and celebrate together. To know that I’ll always have a cheer and support squad even when my name doesn’t come up on a screen. And that will happen, and that’s ok.

On this day last week, I had joined these two glorious humans in Swan Hill for their rehearsal!

I can still see it now.
The Lower Murray Inn at was filled with laughter, excitement and the hustle and bustle of Sheyanne and Simon’s wedding prep crew 🪩
From parents, to siblings, to close friends and members of their wedding party, everyone had a role.
Everyone worked together.

Because they love our couple.
How can you not! These two are so sweet and hospitable.

And when the ceremony began that very next day, everything was simply stunning.

So tonight, let’s raise our hot Milos, our brewed teas, our g & ts perhaps?
How about a classic vodka, soda and lime? 🍋‍🟩

To Sheyanne and Simon, who will be approaching their first week as newlyweds in the next few hours! ❤️

Oh what a special day this was 💜 On the 7th of September, as the wind whistled through the gum leaves and the sun shone in the crisp spring sky… Life partners, best friends, parents to three of the sweetest girls our Lisa and Hayden said some magical declarations and solemnised their love. It was sentimental, it was exciting, it was HILARIOUS with a cute little Monty Python track to boot. It was everything Lisa and Hayden wanted it to be 💘 And it made this little celebrant SO happy to see her couple so happy 🥹 So let’s raise those evening wines, perhaps a nice glass of sparkling kombucha? Or a classic water with lime 🍋‍🟩 to 🌻LISA AND HAYDEN🌻 and their sweet family and love 🐝

Surprise, they’re married! 🐿️ When Korie and Alex explained their plans for a sweet secret squirrel legals only ceremony in Canterbury Park before surprising the rest of their loved ones at their party later in the evening at @theboardwalkbendigo… I was READYYYY 🪩 Amongst their inner circle and wedding support crew they shared their vows, celebrated their beautiful family unit and looked ULTRA fab 👑 I’ve been saying this for a while now, legals only ceremonies pack a punch in the feels, for all the right reasons 🫶🏻 Yes they may be shorter, yes we get straight to the nut and bolts of a ceremony, but please don’t ever think that they are lesser in heart or meaning. Celebrating the union of two people that love each other with intention, through no conditions and whole heartedly, well it’s why we’re all here isn’t it? Just look at them 🫶🏻 So on this rainy morning, we raise our short blacks, our herbal teas and milos to, Mr and Mrs Davis, and their incredible love story 👑👑 Loved meeting and hanging with @tammy_nancarrow_photography what a talented Queen 📸♥️

A cosy and toasty congratulatory 2 weeks wed to, 🌹👑SHEYANNE AND SIMON👑🌹 This day was such a treat. So much love, those excited butterflies of anticipation and such a fun wedding support crew! We posed mid ceremony for a paparazzi moment. We laughed, we clapped and we cheered! And we restrained on making the ceremony about our lovebirds’ golden (fur) gal, Rosie (because well, everything is about Rosie!) 🐾♥️🦴 Sheyanne and Simon’s day was the perfect mix of fun, sweet and joyful. Just like their love 🫶🏻 So this evening, we raise our hot mulled wines, our herbal sleep time teas, perhaps a couple (several) rows of choccie? 🍫 To Sheyanne and Simon! …and Rosie! Ohhhh I hope you can FEEL the absolute joy and fun of this day! It was incredible! And I am not saying this lightly 🪩 Kirsty and Steve shared the most raw and heartfelt vows. Their fur babe Bean 🦴 (honorary bridesdog) was present to watch the formalities and we conducted the sweetest hand fasting with her first leash 🥹 A cover of Toto’s Africa played while Kirsty and the wedding party entered into this sweet celebration while guests clapped, cheered and grooved to the tune 🪩💃🏻🕺 It was a perfect day for the most perfect couple 🌻 I love these two, and I’m so thankful that my little cele biz brought us closer together. Meeting their village, being fed homemade pizzas by Steve’s mum at the rehearsal (thanks Judes 🍕🫶🏻), being told that I had to stay for the reception, getting the best hugs, feeling so lucky to be part of something so special. I pinch myself that I get to do this. So on this fresh, sunny morning we think fondly of ⚡️🌻KIRSTY AND STEPHEN🌻⚡️ And we raise those second coffees, those herbal teas, that freshly squeezed fruit juice (don’t forget the ginger!) 🫚 to their extraordinary love 🫶🏻 Special shoutout to Kirsty’s face when Steve opens his beer bottle… watch the reel and you’ll get it 😂

It’s been a tough coupla weeks! 🥲 Obviously this video is made in jest (I’m not going to become a drama gal any time soon 😂), but there is a moral to this poorly made video reel. ✨Get in touch as soon as you have set a date! I genuinely get sad when a couple seem SO COOL, they appreciate my services and then I can’t marry them. This being said, it also makes me super grateful that I have been asked by ANY couple in the first place. So second moral of this d grade reel: undying love and thanks to my booked couples, you’re the GOAT! 🏆❤️
