In 2023 and 2024 we have handed over $65,000 (total) to Foodbank Tasmania (FBT) to support their “Breakfast in Schools”Program - Statewide.

Bringing the total raised over the 11years of the game to $200,000 passed onto Muscular Dystrophy Tasmania (7 years), Beyond Blue (2 years) and now FBT.

J W Promotions is honoured to coordinate this wonderful annual event.

2025 see’s the 12th version of the game.

J W Promotions is pleased to announce that Hawthorn Premiership Hardman and Gold Coast Suns Player CAMPBELL BROWN will be lining up for the Mighty Cuprona Bulldogs in a “One-off” game and “Sporty”.

Details on date and opposition there playing will be revealed at a later date.

This promises to be a great occasion.

How good is this!

Last year J W Promotions organised, Anthony Koutoufides and Ang Christou to guest speak at a function for the Claremont Football Club - Tasmania.

Craig Walker a Club Sponsor - Water Industry Solutions participated in an auction and purchased this jumper for Darren (pictured) and finally got to present this to him today.

Darren was also bidding on this but left the function straight after, so what a surprise for the Carlton champ who turned 54 last week, receiving this today.

TESTIMONIAL - SOMERSET STRIKERS CRICKET CLUB (BCL) - PRESIDENT - JARRED POPOWSKI

The Somerset strikers cricket club recently had the pleasure of Geelong great Stevie J come for a game of cricket followed by a sporty.

I made Contact with Jaimes from JW Promotions about the event and from that first text message I knew this was going to a great partnership.

Jaimes was extremely professional but also very humble and extremely easy to talk with. He kept the communication lines open at all times and for me being green to this never once made me feel out of place.

The day it self was a great success for our club and you would be forgiven to think these athletes may not give 100% but Stevie was a complete professional, he ran deep mid on to deep mid on each over ( opposite ends of the ground ) and even went head first into thick bushes to retrieve a ball.

Jaimes hosted the sporty and for me it had it all, some really good questions along with great humour.

Jaimes knowledge of Stevie was second to none and whilst there is a question sheet when asked random questions Jaimes knew all the answers.

The fact this was more than a night out for Stevie really shown through because his want for country sport to do well was on show that night with his passion and professionalism helping create a memorable night.

I look forward to working with Jaimes in the near future, if you or your club is looking to break the trend and push your club into the future hit JW Promotions up you won’t be disappointed.

JWP is pleased to announce that former Australian Cricket Great DARREN LEHMANM has jumped onboard.

The powerful left hander and great Coach played 27 Test (T)Matches for his country and 117 One Day Internationals (ODI) with top scores of 177 (T) and 119 (ODI).

Darren after retiring has held coaching jobs with the Queensland Bulls, Brisbane Heat and the Australian team.

Highlights for Darren would include -

* (2) World Cup wins as a Player and (1) as Coach

On retirement from first class cricket, Darren had scored 13,635 runs at an average of 54.97 and the title of highest run scorer in Shield Cricket History. Boof scored 37 centuries and his top score was 301 Not Out!

What a coup this is!!!

One of only 8 immortals announced by the NRL, Andrew “Joey” Johns is onboard with JWP.

Between 1993-2007 Andrew played 249 Games for the Newcastle Knights, which included (2) Premierships.

Other highlights include -

* Represented NSW in State of Origin Games - 23 times
* Represented Australia 26 Times

Since retiring, Andrew has made a smooth and highly successful transition into the media.

“Joey” is considered the greatest player of his era and certainly has a wonderful, colourful story to tell, please don’t miss out on hearing him. You won’t be disappointed.

JWP spent another great day with STEVIE J, this time playing a 50 over game of cricket with the Somerset Strikers Cricket Club and a “Sporty” afterwards.

Stevie rolled the arm over and took one wicket, was nearly involved in an incident similar to the Steve Waugh /Jason Gillespie attempted catch a wile back and scored a handful of runs.

The evening was a great night with plenty of laughs and great stories about his early days adjusting to the AFL lifestyle and expectations and his pathway into coaching and media work.

JWP had the pleasure of being involved with today’s Annual Champions of Sport luncheon with Geelong great STEVE JOHNSON appearing alongside Australian Cricket Great DARREN LEHMANN, Rugby League immortal ANDREW “JOEY” JOHNS and the luncheon was hosted by Tasmanian and C7 commentator ALISTER NICHOLSON.

360 we’re in attendance and had a great afternoon. This is the 11th version of this event and it’s an absolute credit to all involved at the Hadspen Cricket Club.
