UPDATE…

Recently I hosted a function at The Talbot Hobart with Guest BRENDAN FEVOLA.

Unbeknown to anyone Brendan made a special promise to one of his mates on the evening.

He promised Darren and his mother that he would fly them over for a game as guests of his and look after everything!!!!

Today was that day! Darren and his mother flew out of Hobart this morning to attend a pre-game luncheon where Brendan, Anthony Koutoufudes and Corey McKernan were speaking prior to the Carlton v Nth. Melbourne game at Marvel Stadium.

By the looks of things Darren loved it.

Great stuff Fev you are one great human and what you did today was nothing short of sensational.

To top it off, the Blues snuck home!

Claremont Football Club have been involved with Jaimes Wiggins Promotions for approximately 5 years.

In that time, we have hosted well known AFL past players in

Recently JWP donated (2) Signed Jumpers from last year’s Anniversary Gane of “RELIVE THE RIVALRY” to raise some much needed funds for (6) boys from the Brighton Junior Football Club who are representing an U/15 Tasmanian Team in Queensland shortly in the All Schools Australian Championships.

The raffle was drawn and an AMAZING amount of money was raised $3,300 !!!

That money will be split evenly amongst the (6) lads.

Best wishes for the carnival.

TESTIMONIAL - PENGUIN FOOTBALL CLUB (NWFL) - DWAYNE AHERNE.

JW Promotions have done it again, this time presenting former Hawthorn and Brisbane great Luke Hodge at a luncheon at the Penguin Football Club.

The four time premiership player and Norm Smith Medalist presented a mentoring session to the PFC men’s and woman’s leadership groups, speaking about his time captaining Hawthorn as well as his early days in the game and how he adapted to the rigours of AFL football as well as becoming a leader.

Hodge then took over a room full of die hard hawthorn fans with his story from becoming the the number 1 pick in the 2001 draft, to becoming a premiership captain and even the Buddy Franklin kiss.

His time at Brisbane, where he still resides today, was rocky to start, before he knew a change was coming and needed for the embattled club.

Hodge, now in the media, spent time mingling and his ability to capture the audience both on and off the field is something to be applauded.

Again, thanks to Jaimes Wiggins from JW Promotions for his generosity and time spent getting people like Luke along to share their story.

Certainly something we recommend as a club if the opportunity arises.

An update…..

Recently we raised money for Nick Wright pictured with his son Cooper to go to Melbourne for a great experience.

We organised accommodation/airfares and tickets and the opportunity for Cooper to participate in Melbourne’s Guard of Honour at their Saturday night game at the MCG against Essendon.

An added bonus I organised tickets to the Collingwood v Geelong game the night before as well.

Nick I’m so glad you guys had a super time, you deserve it!!!

A big thanks to my beautiful wife Natasha, the crew at The Talbot Hobart, Alyssa - Melbourne FC and Brendan Bolton in assisting to make this happen.

To finish off a great weekend JWP took LUKE HODGE for a luncheon at the Penguin Football Club today.

Prior to the luncheon, Luke spent 45 minutes with the Two Blues Senior Men’s/Women’s Leadership Groups and Senior Coaching Group for an open and honest mentor session which was greatly received.

At the luncheon plenty of great stories were told by a wonderful leader.

Pleased to announce former North Melbourne Captain JACK ZIEBELL has joined the stable at JW Promotions.

Jack played 280 Games with the Kangaroos, kicking 18 Goals and held the Captaincy for 6 seasons (2017-2022) and was a nominee for the AFL Rising Star Award in 2009.

Since retiring, Jack has joined Richmond (AFL) as an Assistant Coach.

LETTER FROM HOBART'S BRANCH OF MAKE-A-WISH AUSTRALIA

Dear Jaimes

Writing on behalf of the Make-A-Wish Hobart team to say thank you very much for your support at our recent Trivia Night.

I am very pleased to report that we raised $11,811 which is a record for our Trivia Night. This was in part due to enthusiastic supporters on the night who dug deep but mostly to supporters like you who gave so generously and enabled us to make the most of donated goods. This has a significant impact to Make-A-Wish in order to grant wishes to children with critical illnesses.

We know that some of our supporters like to be recognised in different ways, whether that be an email like this or certificate where you can display in your business premises. We also recognise that if you support a range of causes you can often be overwhelmed with thank you certificates. If you could please let us know if you would like to receive a certificate, we will be very pleased to provide this to you.

TESTIMONIAL - CYGNET FOOTBALL CLUB - PAST PLAYERS - DAVID BRERETON

The Cygnet Football Club recently held its Annual Past Players & Officials Day and we approached Jaimes Wiggins Promotions to secure a guest speaker for the day. Jaimes was able to offer us several speaker options including Carlton great, Brendan Fevola. The arrangements were negotiated and confirmed, and nothing was a problem for Jaimes. On the day he drove Brendan down to Cygnet and during our luncheon he interviewed him about his career, both on and off field. It was a highly entertaining presentation the 150 in attendance, with much humour and wit thrown in. I would highly recommend Jaimes to anyone thinking of engaging a sporting identity as a guest speaker.

This will be a fun night leading into a huge weekend for the club that is hosting Australia’s richest bowls pairs championships.

Last Friday evening as part of an event I organised - “An evening with FEV” my beautiful wife Natasha predominantly organised prizes for a raffle and sold tickets on the evening.

The benefactors were completely unaware and caught off guard when we announced what they would receive.

We organised -

* A travel package which includes airfares and accommodation for 2 plus contributed for another person to travel with the party

They are Melbourne Demon supporters and I made contact with Alyssa (MFC Community Dept) to arrange the following -

* A 2024 Signed Melbourne Jumper by the entire squad and signed photos of (2) Premiership Players - Bailey Fritsch and Ed Langfon

* Am opportunity to participate in a Guard of Honour at a MFC game in Melbourne before the season is over with tickets supplied to the game

Nick pictured with son Cooper was completely overwhelmed but certainly deserved this surprise.

Sadly in the space of two months Nick had lost his Grandmother, his mother and most recently his wife. Which is so unfair.

I’m so glad we could give this family a special experience and put a smile on young Cooper’s face tonight.

What a super human BRENDAN FEVOLA is.

Through my coordination of a Charity Legends Game Relive the Rivalry I have forged a TRUE friendship and witnessed an amazing gesture from Brendan whilst he was in Hobart over the weekend.

Darren who “FEV” handed his Legends Jumper too in 2018 (See photo below) attended a function on Friday evening where Brendan was guest speaker.

“FEV” spent some quality time with Darren, and at the end of the function, not only brought the little fella a signed print but also offered to fly him and his mother both to Melbourne soon to watch Carlton play Collingwood at the MCG in a fully catered sponsors box with his family and friends!!!!!

How F&$ great is that!

This goes to show how amazing this human is.

Great stuff FEV - never change!

Another fantastic day with the great man BRENDAN FEVOLA at the Annual Cygnet Football Club - Past Players & Officials Dinner.

A super crowd of over 150 had a great time listening to the stories “Fev” told from over his career.

A wonderful afternoon was had at one of Tassie’s greatest grass roots football clubs.

Another fantastic evening at The Talbot Hobart with Brendan Fevola appearing.

As usual a trip to Partners - Da Angelo Ristorante for a lovely meal.

“FEV” and the audience had a great evening with his Blues putting on a clinic in the background.

Thank you to Health Dynamics Tasmania, Corey's garden and landscaping for supporting the event.

During the evening my beautiful wife Natasha sold raffle tickets, but also organised the prizes for a wonderful reason.

The recipient of the money raised has sadly gone through a horrific period where in the space of 7 weeks has lost his Nan, Mum and Wife which no one should have to go through.

With the money raised and support of the Melbourne Football Club, Nick and his son will receive -

* Return Airfares
* Accommodation
* Guests of MFC at a game
* Participate in a Guard of Honour
* Signed MFC Jumper by all Players

Last but not least “Fev’s” mate in the audience Darren got a pleasant surprise when Brendan offered to fly him and his mum to Melbourne and go to a Sponsors Box at Carlton v Collingwood game at the MCG later this year.

This is just another example of the person Brendan is.

The “STEVIE J” show is rolling into Hobart soon. The 293 game legend played in 3 Premierships with the Cats and is also a one time winner of the Norm Smith Medal.

Since retiring Steve has spent time as an Assistant Coach at the Sydney Swans and the GWS Giants and is currently coaching Yarrawonga (O&MFL) where he he coached them to a flag in 2023.

You can also regularly hear “Stevie J” most Sundays on Triple M’s calling of AFL Football in Melbourne.

TESTIMONIAL - RIDGLEY FOOTBALL CLUB (DFA) - DANE SWAN

Saturday May 18th saw Dane Swan play with the Ridgley Saints, and what a magic day it was.

The weather gods looked favourably upon us which helped draw the biggest crowd into the Ridgley Recreation Ground that anyone had ever seen.

The day started off with Dane arriving and getting to know his teammates for the day, before getting himself ready for the game.

The crowd had turned up for one thing….Dane Swan, and he didn’t disappoint with his elite skills and game awareness he turned it on for the crowd.

He ended the day with four goals and 30 odd possessions, which helped set up a good win for the club.

After the game Dane came into the clubrooms and talked to the supporters, had photos, and signed many autographs.

Later that night Dane with the help of Jaimes Wiggins put on a great sportsman night with a crowd of 240 hanging on every word.

Jaimes Emceed and took charge of the auction for the night with all items being sold well above the reserve price.

Without the help of Jaimes Wiggins Promotions the football club would not be able to have these types of events. The club cannot recommend Jaimes highly enough.
