There are great deals for this first season, with up to 15% discount, so get in early!!

There are only 3 glamping bush villas, each with a deck, ensuite bathroom, a queen and a single bed. A large kitchen and separate BBQ area for preparing a meal, to be enjoyed with a drink on the main deck. Staying overnight is a beautiful, intimate experience with nature.

It is self-catering, but with complimentary toiletries for your first day, and a breakfast hamper for your first morning, with eggs, bread, spreads, tea, coffee and hot chocolate! So you don't need to worry about brekky.

The black swans are returning. Later in the Dry Season we expect to see over 100 swans on the lake. The viewing deck at the Orchids / Wild Nature Lodge is an ideal place to watch these magnificent birds.

WILD NATURE LODGE. Sustainable business in wild places! Wild Nature Lodge is the accommodation side of The Orchids and can be booked separately.

On 1st July 2023, Wild Nature Lodge will open for business. This initiative is a remarkable achievement between Forever Wild and the Traditional Owners of the Mareeba Tropical Wetlands, one of Forever Wild's properties in Queensland.

In 2022 Forever Wild worked closely with Traditional Owners and the broader Indigenous community in Mareeba, North Queensland, to create a new company called Bana Bubu (Place of Water). This is now a wholly-Indigenous owned company with the purpose of supporting local Indigenous artists and creating culturally appropriate tourism products in and around Mareeba including at the Mareeba Tropical Wetlands.

Concurrently Forever Wild (Global) established Wild Nature Escapes, a company dedicated to enabling people to experience nature in its wildest form.

Together, Wild Nature Escapes and Banu Bubu will develop the Wild Nature Lodge. We will showcase local Indigenous art, storytelling and knowledge and will create jobs for local people. If you are heading to North Queensland book in for a visit!
