Happy Sunday all! Some exciting work has been happening behind the scenes… I HAVE A NEW LOGO!!

For those who are new to my story, I sell cotton, sorghum & wheat that is grown on our large-scale cropping farm in Breeza, NSW to wholesalers, florists & brides (the general public).

A recent collaboration means that things are getting bigger for The Farmer’s Florist, hence the need for the new logo. So watch this space for more breaking news to come… featuring

We choose the colours in the logo to represent the tones you often see on the Breeza Plains.
The Sketch features wheat & cotton, & the font is just for fun!

The Quirindi Show Entertainment Committee have been working hard behinds the scenes to bring you a show where there is something for everyone.

~ 2023 Cotton picking ~

On the farm the cotton is currently getting picked and bailed. It gets trucked/transported to the cotton gin to be processed. This involves taking the seed out of the cotton lint (fibrous coat).

Absolutely amazing to see this huge amount of water right at our doorstep. We are safe but do feel for people at risk. The Mooki river is still rising, with many tributaries of water still streaming in.

Farm tour day!

Cotton is a food & fibre crop.

This year on our farm we have harvested enough cotton to make 7.2 million t-shirts or 25.8 million pairs of socks!!

Cottonseed can be also crushed for oil or used as a high protein stock food.
