HERO Moment, the KISS!

Kate & Steele
One of my all-time favourite moments as a wedding celebrant is when I pronounce my beautiful couple as now married.
Bride Kate, took this to this to the next level, when they kissed and the Kate spontaneously jumped on Steele. The love that these two have for each other is palpable and so real. Getting married and living the dream on the family farm, Steele took his now wife Kate in his arms in all his stride and with his strong farm man arms hugged and kissed his new beautiful wife for all his worth.

As a local Bridgetown celebrant I get to marry, renew vows, do wonderful naming ceremonies and more in our beautiful town.
My mission is to empower and support all couples and familes.
Every now and then I find a little gold nugget that helps couples and families to access services when things get tough and communication breaks down.
Resources:
We have the wonderful Relationships Australia located at the back of the old convent on the corner of Steer and Roe's Streets:
Henri Newan House at the top of Memorial Park/Hester Street, plus some amazing local Dr's and counsellors.
There is also a mental health care plan that you can ask for from your Doctor, which is subsidised and costs much less. This means that you can ask your Doctor for a mental health care plan to a therapist they recommend or someone that you'd like a referral for.
I would also like to share this website and organisation which has access to newsletters which have fantastic information and guidance. Plus, resources connecting you to people that specialise in relationship guidence and counselling in WA that specialise in certain fields, like couple, family breakdown, international marriages (differences that raise their heads a couple of years after marriage, especially, when children come along).
It is not a weak sign in yourself to get counselling and in our culture "some" older traditions have not let people feel that they can reach out, especially for the dear men in our lives. Communication can break down through misunderstanding and also through a "lack of communication". We may even be thinking or feeling the same things but somehow it gets "lost in translation" or there are other triggers at play from our childhood trauma, or past relationships that play out and get in the way of our current relationships.
Having external resources to assist can help to get out of repetitive patterns and can be a saving grace. You may find these resources above and links below helpful.

What a gorgeous family, it was such a beautiful and intimate ceremony and even the rain couldn't dampen Vanessa & Tony's spirits.
