For this months guest mix we go North of the Border and hail in one of Queensland's Finest Koya Dubz

Koya started his musical journey in promotion being a part of pivotal crews and nights both in the Sunshine Coast and Brisbane, his love for the scene only grew more as he began DJing. Koya’s sound started with a heavy focus around the 140 soundscape and has played many a support slot in this space. Koya Dubz then progressed onwards in the scene now co-owner of Safe Events and being an active multi genre DJ in multiple events and crews in Queensland. No two sets are the same with Koya Dubz as he continues to absorb, grow and push his sound through the dancefloor.

Particle Theory is a cross-continent collaboration project between Australian bass music artists Duos & Eputty. A wonky post-festival flight booking in June saw Eputty staying at Duos place in Brisbane for the week. Particle Theory Pt. 1 is the creative results of the extended visit, a two-track EP inspired by nature, exploring the themes and textures of water and earth.

Aerial Earth opens proceedings with a rolling drum and bass vibe, covered in locally sourced foley and soaring cello sweeps. Switching up to hit a lo-fi halftime vibe on the second drop. 

Water Garden dives into the ocean to deliver a Kawaii 5-0 experience. A wonky stepped break folds in on itself as a mermaid’s calypso siren-song serenades a parade of bizarre sea creatures into the depths.

In S3E44, De La Haye returns from playing SUN AND BASS Festival with a 2 hour post-Italy mix special, freshly inspired by recent Europe musical adventures. Covering the full spectrum of DNB and just propa jungley wibes!

And featuring forthcoming tunes from Anthony Kasper, Decibella remix on AKO BEATZ MUSIC, unreleased collab by Safire, Gus Heavy & Duos, with a special preview of NZ's The Nomad (M_phonik remix) in memory of the DNB don, Randall, to start the mix off.. after the show begins with a recent release by local Filthy Philp, and later featuring other epic AUS producers Jaise, Tamen & Pugilist.

All roads lead to Jagera Hall, Musgrave Park on Saturday, 28th September. The mighty Champion Sound will be dropping top vinyl selections, playing foundation reggae to new school roots and culture to make you want to move and groove.

This session sees us link with Brisbane's lyrical masters Dee Kay Warrior and Master Wolf, who will be holding the mic and bringing that urban vibe to the dance, in a sound system style.

Joining them is Queensland Beatbox champion, Atlas. Atlas brings a sonic and brutal form of beatboxing, and creates beats that are going to sound phenomenal on the Champion Sound System. A creative first for Brisbane, we can’t wait to hear this.

Get ready to treat your tastebuds, with authentic Caribbean food provided by Bando Smoke Jerk BBQ, and wash it down with a drink from the bar run by the Jagera Community Hall crew.
