On Wednesday 4th August 2024, 25 Industry Partners Australia members joined our QLD state forum to discuss ways to improve Employee Engagement.
Our attendees shared what was working for them and where things weren’t going so well.
We were joined by Brendan Croucher from Footbridge Consulting who introduced the room to the concept of ‘Conversational capacity’ based on the best-selling book by Craig Weber. This is a very powerful approach.
Our second key speaker was Ishan Galapathy who gave us an insight into Employee engagement via his latest book, Unlock: Engage the seemingly disengaged.
A big thank you to Brendan and Ishan for your great presentations.
Many thanks to our attendees from Tip Top Bakeries, Integria Healthcare, Refresco, MSD Animal Health, Century Yuasa Batteries, Mauri, Glencore Technology, ATCO structures, and Coca-Cola Europacific Partners who openly shared their knowledge on the day.
Our forum events are very much geared around networking and with ample breaks and a quality lunch included, we had a great day of learning and making new contacts.

Critical thinking is defined as “the objective analysis and evaluation of an issue in order to form a judgement.” When applied to solving problems in the workplace, it is vital.
Without the application of critical thinking, tools such as 5W1H, brainstorming, Ishikawa, 5 Why’s, cause-tree’s etc. can lose the vital elements of objectivity and diversity of opinion.
This is why Industry Partners Australia developed their highly rated “Critical Thinking for Problem Solving” program.
We are currently collaborating with Coca-Cola Europacific Partners, Arnott's Biscuits and MSD Animal Health in a 3-company cross-skilling program that focuses heavily on combatting bias’s, thinking laterally and including the wider team.
Many thanks to MSD Animal Health for hosting our third session last week.

We recently hosted a highly successful event for many of our business improvement professionals within the Industry Partners Australia membership.
It was a great day to mingle with other passionate individuals with a curious and improvement-focused mindset. Many thanks to our two main presenters: Mark Sherlock, who shared his experiences from a recent LEAN Japan tour, and Carmine Caruccio, who imparted his knowledge and experiences on influencing innovation.
Presentations by Penske and Lion Tooheys Brewery further enriched the day and provided a fantastic opportunity for all attendees to engage, learn, and network.

We would like to thank Dan Cato, Joseph Mackenzie, and Jake Wilson from GME for kindly hosting a site tour of their Winston Hills premises for our Industry Partners Australia members.
It was very interesting to have a behind the scenes look at this site and to hear about GME's cutting-edge facility and a business that has been a beacon of innovation in RF communication technology for over 60 years.
Attendees discovered the history of GME, a business with a product that is empowering people to feel connected wherever life may take them.
We were given a tour of their SMT manufacturing, a close up look at their assembly processes, their warehousing advancements and their supermarket Kanban supply processes along with an explanation of their continuous improvement journey with a focus on people development. We were also taken behind the scenes into their innovative R&D premises.
If you are keen to become part of our Industry Partners Australia community, learning, sharing, connecting with others and providing opportunities to inspire and develop your people at all levels of your organisation, reach out.

Recently, 12 colleagues from 4 different sites across Melbourne dove deep into a thought-provoking Critical Thinking For Problem Solving (CTFPS) training session led by John Smith from Industry Partners Australia.
Our minds were challenged as we tackled biases and traditional mindsets, gaining a better grasp of the four basic requirements for problem-solving: Process, People, Data, and Facilitating the solution.
The interactive discussions were not only fun but also enlightening, addressing key CTFPS processes like the 5W 1H approach and more!
