Happy FIVE Years of The Evergreen Blooms Co.! 🌸

I can’t believe it’s been five years since we started this journey! I missed celebrating the actual anniversary in November, but better late than never, right? There have been many moments when I have considered closing up shop, but I owe where I am today to all of you. Your support has made all the difference. 💚

Believe it or not, I’ve never properly introduced myself on here! Hi, I’m Susie, the founder of The Evergreen Blooms Co., and I’m beyond grateful to have you here, and a part of this journey.

How Did It All Begin?

After struggling with chronic illness for most of my life, I faced a particularly difficult endometriosis surgery in 2019 which forced me to cut back on work.

I realised I needed to find a way to work with my disability, not against it. I wanted to create an opportunity that allowed me to build a business where I could work flexibly from home (this was pre-covid, by the way.) And that’s when The Evergreen Blooms Co. began.

Why Flowers?

I’ve always had a passion for flowers. Even as a child, I would turn my backyard into my own little flower shop.
Floristry was always something I wanted to pursue, but the timing was never right.

After helping plan a wedding the year prior, I came to realise how expensive weddings can be and how few faux flower options there were in Australia, but especially Brisbane. I thought — if we were to spend so much on flowers, why not have bouquets that last forever?
