The ASYLUM Entertainment project began in 2009 with one vision: to provide punters with events focused purely on underground hardcore & harder style genre which were not catered for in the current scene. Throughout 2009 & 2010 ASYLUM brought a change in the Brisbane scene, uniting ravers and providing top quality events with an unmatched vibe that hadn't been seen in years. ASYLUM focused on Hards
tyle, Dutch Hardcore, Gabber & Frenchcore genres and organised several highly successful and talked about events acros this period. The dedication that went into the October 2010 event "Nightmare II - Hardcore Italia", featuring Italian Hardcore masters AMNESYS & ALIEN T, caught the attention of Mayhem Productions, who approached the group to collaborate on a future party. This partnership, along with the help of Thrillseeka Crew, produced the massive event "RESPAWN" in March 2011, bringing the largest collection of International DJs in 5 years, and as a result the largest amount of raver as well. The success of RESPAWN identified scope for the return of large scale rave parties to Brisbane once more, which lead to Mayhem & Asylum's second collaboration project "SummerBass", and return to the legendary rave venue "The Arena"! SummerBass had an extraordinary response from punters Australia-wide from the date is was announced (big ups to the 20+ people who came from Perth!). This topped RESPAWN and resulted in the largest international lineup & the biggest crowd seen at a rave party in well over 5 years, and the venue was packed all the way to 5am! Having seen this massive response, Mayhem & Asylum have begun work on their next collaboration "WinterBass", which will be announced very soon!
