Happy New Year, Everyone!
As we step into 2025, I want to take a moment to thank all the amazing couples I’ve had the honor of marrying, the incredible wedding vendors I’ve worked alongside, and my beautiful family and friends who continue to cheer me on. You’ve all been part of my journey, and I’m endlessly grateful.

This year, my message to everyone—whether you're planning your wedding, living your day-to-day life, or chasing your dreams—is simple: "You do You."
When it comes to your wedding ceremony (or anything else), don’t feel bound by tradition or expectations. Want to include your dog? Go for it. Fancy ditching the bells and whistles? Do it. Prefer you day to be short and sweet, and funny? Perfect! Just wanna get hitched, then call me. Your day should reflect you.
To my couples, past and future: keep celebrating your love in the way that you do. To my vendor friends: keep up YOUR creative magic. And to everyone else: live, love and laugh!

Today’s rainy weather reminded me of Jessica & Vaughan’s beautiful elopement with Elope Brisbane back in March. It was an intimate, love-filled day, made even more magical by the cozy atmosphere in New Farm Park’s Rotunda as the rain softly fell around us.
Jess and Vaughan embraced the moment, proving that even a little rain can’t dampen their day.

Answered my million questions and really tailored the ceremony to suit my husband and I (we wanted simple and not so traditional). She has a wonderful and warm personality and made our day stress-free and magical, even in the rain!"

🌟 Wahoo! 🌟 I’m absolutely thrilled - I’ve been awarded Highly Commended (2nd Place) in the Civil Marriage Celebrant category for 2024 by the Wedding Industry Awards! 🥳 This marks my 6th consecutive year receiving recognition, and I couldn’t be more proud.
A huge congratulations to all the incredible wedding vendors who were also recognised, especially those who are a part of the amazing team and my dear friend and colleague Manning from ! Your dedication, hard work and super talent continue to inspire. 💕
This award is a boost for my business. And the cherry on top? I’ve been invited to Melbourne for the National Australian Wedding Industry Awards night! 🎉

Eleanor and Matt picked the perfect day for their laid-back morning wedding at Brisbane Botanic Gardens, Mount Coot-tha! The spring sun was shining, the air was crisp, and the day was just the right kind of warm. Keeping it low-key and intimate was their goal, and they nailed it with the ‘Simply Elope’ option!
From a private exchange of their personal vows before the ceremony to giggles and smiles during, these two kept it sweet and true to themselves. Eleanor even arrived early to mingle and set the mood with her playlist!
Their morning celebration was the perfect reflection of Eleanor and Matt – warm, joyful, and surrounded by their nearest and dearest. Thank you, Eleanor and Matt, for letting Elope Brisbane share in your magical day. Congratulations and cheer’s to a lifetime of happiness!

Izzy & Josh’s stress free mid-week wedding was truly magical. 💖
Starting at Crystalbrook Vincent, formerly The Fantauzzo for pre-wedding prep, they met at New Farm Park surrounded by blooming jacarandas. Josh couldn’t hide his nerves; but I was there to reassure him (all part of the job). Their boys took charge with music and “photography” (tiny toy cameras to keep them entertained 😉).
With the incredible styling from Elope Brisbane and gorgeous blooms by Capalaba Carnations , the setting was flawless under the canopy of a grand tree. Izzy was thrilled!
As a warm up, I had their guests take selfies to upload to Wedbox as keepsakes which was fun.
The couple exchanged vows, rings, and a kiss to seal it – all hitched! A wave of bubbles and cheers sent them down the aisle as newlyweds. 💕 Drinks at the Rotunda and a lunch celebration at Greca Restaurant Brisbane at Howard Smith Wharves (with a gorgeous cake by Cakes by Simone ) topped off a perfect day.
Congrats, Izzy and Josh! So happy to be part of your journey! 🎉💖

Every year, we all come together to tackle our online training and assessment, and honestly, it’s the perfect excuse to catch up! We grabbed some coffee (and maybe a few too many fries) while getting the work done.

We ended up having such a fun time refreshing our knowledge of the Marriage Act of 1961 and diving into the material. The highlight? We aced every question! With 54 years of experience, we really have this down to a science!

Eleanor and Matt certainly knew how to pick the perfect day to get married! The spring sun was shining, the air was fresh, and the morning was just the right amount of warmth – perfect for avoiding the midday heat. These two kept things wonderfully low-key, just as they’d planned,

Choosing the ‘Simply Elope’ option, they went for a minimalist vibe – me as their celebrant and Romana capturing the magic behind the lens. It was clear from the get-go that Eleanor and Matt’s priority was making this day as cruisey as possible. Contrary to tradition, the Bride arrived before the Groom – super keen but also with the intention to mingle a bit and to provide the music.

✨Fun fact:✨ The tradition behind the phase 'Tying-the-Knot', dates back to the ancient Celts and was once the main way couples in Europe and Britain got married.
At Cameron and Rachel’s wedding, we honoured Cameron’s Scottish heritage by giving it a go. And we’re glad we did. We didn’t get the chance to practice, so we were a little apprehensive. Hence the delight on our faces when it worked!!
