So many emotions with this post. 😢
Due to significant reduction in orders, my business is at its all time lowest. I have had to get a job due to the lack of daily orders.
I have to have financial stability for myself and for my children.
I will be able to create floral arrangements for deliveries throughout the week still. I will need at least 2 days notice to get flowers for your orders around my working hours and to be delivered before or after my working hours.
Wedding dates are still available. I would love to continue my passion with flowers.
Unfortunately, I will not be able to create arrangements and deliver on the day orders any more.

How was those storms this afternoon and early hours this morning!!? Crazy wind and lightning show🌩

School holidays are almost over. I got to spend a few hours actually doing something with my children on Saturday at Splitters farm. I shared the reel into this business page from our visit. We used a gift voucher that we had won at my daughters primary school in the Christmas raffle.
I have been busy working every day with DoorDash to maintain an income in these difficult times. You might see me delivering items to your door. Sadly my floristry business of 10 years is struggling in a pretty big way. If you value my personalised floral creations and want flowers sent for any occasions give me a call or send me a message. I will do my very best to create these arrangements for you.
Each summer over the school holidays is always harder with quality and range of flowers. Most growers limiting their flowers due to the heat and Christmas season is to spend with their families.
I have done the best I could over the last few weeks with the flowers that were available in this time.

My love for floristry started back in 1992 when I was employed by Marion Hennessey as a retail assistant at The Garden Nook in Coles Shopping Centre, moved to Suncorp Arcade.
Back then, Marion was the Floristry Teacher for Tafe. I had the privilege to work for and with Marion. I closely watched Marion and Susie (the other talented florist in store). Spent late nights helping Marion wire up flowers for weddings at her Kepnock home.
In my opinion, I learnt from the best. Marion's attention to detail is what I remember her for. She took so much pride in her creations. I would like to think I take just as much pride with my creations.
Facebook would not allow me to load more than 80 😄 🤣.
There is a lot of work that goes into wedding florals.

I am putting up dates for 1 wedding per month that I have available including a Friday, Saturday or Sunday. I have seen a lot more weddings on a Friday of late. I understand most brides would have their dates already booked in with their choice of Florists already, BUT in the off chance there are Brides to be that haven't booked or eloping at last minute.... these are the dates I have available:

Good morning, I have absolutely loved this rain. How much rain have you had? I'm not so keen about the grass growth though, got to mow a lot more regularly now.

Most people are struggling. I am struggling to keep afloat. I know as a Solo Mum raising 3 children, being self employed with the way life has gone over the past few years it is really hard.

I love creating floral arrangements for every occasion.
I pulled away from accepting public orders a few years ago because I was very busy creating Floral Tributes. I have gone from 10 plus Casket Sprays orders each week to creating maybe 2-5 at most each week, which isn't sustainable to continue as a small business.

I have posted before about doing daily deliveries for orders over the past 12 months with not much success.
Would people be interested in daily deliveries if I did my best sellers that were popular a couple of years ago? 🤔

I have had enquiries for Weddings. Which mostly I declined. I created a few smaller ones that suited when I had time. I stopped doing weddings a few years ago due to being busy with funeral orders and raising my children. Wanting that time to spend with my children on weekends that I had them. It was hard working around them and weddings take up weekends. Still deciding whether to open up my diary for 1 wedding a month when I don't have my children.

I will still be selling single flowers on weekends at some restaurants around town.

Below are some of the old favourites. There is a price increase from a few years ago.

Bunches of boxed natives, pastel florals, Bright florals, Orchids, Lilies (seasonal), Rainbow flowers from $50 plus delivery.

Julie’s Story

My name is Julie Crosbie! Some of you know me as Jules/Jazzy. I was born and raised in Bundaberg. My parents and family, Brian And Gloria Crosbie(deceased), supportive Step mum Lauraine Crosbie and my 2 brothers Gary and Brad, are all very local. I have 5 gorgeous children all born in Bundaberg, You can't get any more local than that.

I have been within the floral industry intermittently since 1992 and became the owner of a florist in 2015-2017. Now, Having worked for another florist during the past 12 months I am ready, but more importantly, prepared to venture off on my own once more! Specializing in floral tributes for lost loved ones and beautiful Bouquets for the newly wedded, I hope to take the floral world by storm.

I am adamant in using any and all of my local sources when available, and will only outsource when needed.
