My man was my absolute lifesaver at our friend's wedding in Albany this weekend ❤ We had a little rain before the ceremony and he did everything he could to help me out. He tried to keep me dry (curly-haired girls, you know the struggle when the frizz hits). He kept their personal vows safe and dry, along with my other important papers, and even though he was super nervous, he nailed pressing play for their final ceremony song.

Come to think of it, he's been my biggest supporter for every wedding I’ve done. He helps pack my equipment into the car, always wishes me good luck before a ceremony, and checks in afterward to see how everything went. He's stepped in as a witness for a few of my couples, handled the ceremony music (despite it giving him anxiety – sorry!) he’s played the role of the ring bearer and listened to me rehearse my scripts a million times.

As most of you know, we just got back from celebrating his 30th birthday in Japan, but I think I’ll celebrate Ashley for the rest of my life because he's the best.

(Don't worry my ugg boots only came out AFTER the ceremony 🤣)

I'm super excited to be back in the office and responding to all of your emails as of today! I just had the most amazing break with my loved ones and I hope you all had an incredible time too. Looking back at this photo from when I was studying to become a celebrant, I realize how far I’ve come.

Being a wedding celebrant is a never-ending learning process and I'm constantly discovering new things about love, marriage, and how to create a meaningful, personal ceremony. But that's what makes this job so amazing. I get to share in the love and happiness of so many couples and be a part of one of the most important moments in their lives.

Now, as I'm about to head into my second wedding season, I'm feeling even more grateful for this incredible job and how much I've grown and learned along the way. I've gotten to witness so many beautiful moments and hear so many touching love stories - it never gets old! I'm also thankful for all the couples who have trusted me with such an important day in their lives, and for all the friends and family members who have cheered me on and supported me along the way. Without all of you, I wouldn't be where I am today. So THANK YOU and here’s to an amazing wedding season ahead! 🤎
