From the begining
Agnes is not only a professional Pastry chef taking pride in what she does, she also feels privileged to be able to put a smile on people and kids faces with different intolerances/life choices when they are been told: Yes you can eat it!
Born in Switzerland, Agnes developed a passion for baking very early on by helping in the family kitchen. At 14 years old she decided to take that passion a step further and started a 3 years Pastry apprenticeship followed by a 2 years Chef apprenticeship.
Having completed both with success she went on with working in restaurants in Switzerland as a Pastry chef but also Chef. To further her knowledge, Agnes started to work overseas. First in Turkey with the Hilton, followed by London at the prestigious Hilton on Park Lane.
In 1999 Agnes decided to try her luck in Australia. Her first job was as the one and only Pastry chef at the Radisson hotel in Cairns. After 2 years she decided to leave beautiful Queensland and make her way to NSW. After different opportunities working as an ice cream cake maker, chocolate maker and cake decorator life took her to Buxton, NSW. It is there that she went on to be part of the Community and discovered the lack of availability for sweets and cakes for adults and kids with intolerances. This is how The Intolerant Baker was born.
