FINALLY! Only one more sleep till we are BACK

We are all set for our first event since Covid entered the chat and it’s going to be a big one.

We got live music with Milan and Aleks which is going to be amazing. All the newest hits and classics with Dj Yianni accompanied by Pavel our favourite drummer boy. We got hot Burek by our friends at Bektesh bakery and of course Rakija to stay warm 😌

It has been over a year now since our last event BUT with restrictions finally easing we have locked in the 19th of March with our friends at Fenway for our Post Iso Party and you better believe it when we say this not an event you will want to miss.

The build up has been a long one and the patience from everyone in our community has been greatly appreciated but it is time to make this thing happen now.

Our favourite guest Milan Gligoric returns and brings along Aleks Koneski on keyboard to ensure we have another amazing night and to get back into the swing of things the right way our resident DJ Yiannis Nakis is back ready to bring us all the newest hits.

8 days in and already 2021 is not looking too crash hot.

Canberra it’s with a huge amount of disappointment that we have made the decision of postponing our Post Iso Party at Fenway on the 15th of Jan due to COVID restrictions in place making travel for our favourite duo Milan Gligoric and Vlatko Sekuloski impossible.

This is for many reasons with safety being a big factor. We also don’t want to have an event that just isn’t going to be the same without live music and with the stress of COVID over our heads. Balkanika is known in Canberra for having the best Balkan themed events ever and we don’t want to disappoint but rather hold out until we can do it right.

We have spoken to our friends at Fenway and they are just as eager to have us back for another epic night and we will be ready to book in another date the second we know what is happening with restrictions.

We hope it won’t be too long and we want to apologise for the delay but with all that’s happening across the country right now we believe it is the right decision.

Refunds will be issued on EventBrite simply DM us with your name and we will process the refund immediately.

Hold tight Canberra this just means that when we do lock in the next event we’ll have to go even bigger and better. See you soon and stay safe ❤️

We said we were back so we’re going to do it right!

January 15th 2021 Balkanika will take over Fenway Public House yet again to celebrate in the best way we now how and that’s with our favourite DJ Yiannis Nakis, crowd favourite Pavel Jakovceski on the Tapan and we welcome back Milan Gligoric and Vlatko Sekuloski simply because there’s nothing better than live music🔥

Tickets are now on sale and will include a free basic drink on entry.

We are Canberra’s ONLY Balkan themed event so you know this is not a night to miss tickets are very limited due to COVID restrictions so don’t miss out.

WE’RE BACK

We can all agree this isolation has been tough BUT with the news of Canberra now having 0 active cases we are all making great progress as a city.

Being the only Balkan event in town we are making sure we are ready to have yet another amazing event and we honestly can’t wait to drink, sing and dance with you all again for a well deserved party 🥳

We have no dates obviously but we will make sure everything we need to have an event is ready to go as soon as this is all over.

Hold on Canberra we’re nearly there and see you soon ❤️

Due to the ongoing impact of the COVID-19 virus and the new government restrictions placed on indoor venues (100 patron capacity) we will temporarily suspend all planning of future events until this has all calmed down.

In the coming months we will monitor the situation and once this pandemic is over we will be back to celebrate.

One thing to keep in mind is our local businesses and how they’re being affected. Consider buying vouchers as a gift or for yourself to help through what will be a hard time for many. going out to your favourite venue for a drink and dinner can make a big difference.

Make sure if you’re unwell stay home otherwise just wash your hands constantly and live life.

Things will be different for a while but no doubt we will be back to normal as soon as possible.

We turn 1 🥳👏🏼🥰

4 hugely successful events that started in treehouse and expanded into Canberra’s best venues Fenway & Kokomos. We are proud of what we have achieved and look forward to what’s coming 🤫

We feel because of our success the Balkan nightlife has boomed in Canberra with more happening in the past 6 months than in the past few years.

On behalf of Balkanika, our dj’s, partners and performers we thank you Canberra for a truly unbelievable first year.

We will continue to be Canberra’s best Balkan themed event and guarantee more unforgettable parties with a pretty big idea in the works.
