Spring weddings are in full bloom 🌸
My top tips for a Spring wedding:
•Be prepared…
Warm windy days one minute and a cold snap the next- although it’s mostly pretty mild, keeping your guests comfortable should be a priority all year round.
Being prepared with cold water, parasols, fans, shade, umbrellas or anything that shows your guests you care about their experience will always be appreciated and no matter how perfect it’s been all week- you still need a wet weather plan!
•ANTIHISTAMINES!
If you’re like me and this time of year wreaks havoc on your sniffles, now is not the time to risk it.
If possible visit your venue in the season you’ll be getting married a year beforehand so you know what you’re in for- but when all else fails, have your favourite allergy meds, eye drops and tissues stashed if you’re a Hayfever Hottie.
•Stay on top of your to-do list.
Spring is a busy time for most in demand vendors and they may have less availability to answer emails, schedule last minute meetings or chase you up for that thing you haven’t submitted.
(I promise I still love you, even when I’m a little slower than usual!)
•Book your favourite vendors early.
Following on from my last point, there’s only a handful of Fridays and Saturdays in Spring, so don’t dilly dally or you might miss out on your dream team.
•Do your research.
Spring isn’t just popular for weddings, but for other big events too!
Know what’s on around your venue and if/how it might affect your big day- such as less accomodation, higher prices, transport delays.
•Buy local.
Nothing beats those fresh, in season, farm to table goodies and Spring is the perfect time to maximise sustainable and community focused choices!
