That’s a wrap on the 2022 Lexus Melbourne Cup Tour to Dirnaseer Hall! 🏆

A big thank you to our sponsors who helped make the day a success - Temora Rotary, Junee IGA, Dough Re Mi, Junee Licorice & Chocolate Factory, Nell's Fabric Place Temora and Key Agri.

We would also like to thank Phil Moroney for the wonderful entertainment, Helen Oliver and the Hall Committee for their generous donations, Urban Fox Mobile Coffee Van for keeping us warm with tea and coffee and Rachel Schliebs for bringing the beautiful horse "Don't Blush Baby". The day would not have been the success it was without you!

🐴🏆MELBOURNE CUP CUP TOUR 2022🏆🐴

The iconic 3 handled cup made from 18 carat gold will be back in the region as part of it's 2022 tour!

This year's Cup has been made from locally sourced gold from the Lake Cowal gold mine in Bland Shire.

The Cup will be stopping on the 20th July at:
🏆Cooinda Court Aged Care Facility in Junee - 9am-11am
🏆The Red Cow pub in Junee - 11.30am-1.30pm
🏆Dirnaseer Memorial Hall - 2pm onwards

The tour itinerary for the 21st July:
🏆Ardlethan & Beyond Museum - 10am-Midday
🏆Ganmain Sports Club - 1pm-3pm
🏆Coolamon Up to Date Store - 6pm-8.30pm

The Cup will then head across the seas, journeying across New Zealand and Singapore before landing back in Australia, with it's final local stop in West Wyalong in September.

As part of the tour, people will have the opportunity to have their photo taken with the cup and many communities are putting on morning teas and events to coincide with the visit. Great for our local communities and a wonderful drawcard event!

A record of 90 communities applied to be a part of this year's tour, and it is incredible that so many of our country communities in this electorate will be a part of its journey.
