What a great night last night was! Two Tears in a Bucket were a true delight and so awesome to have such amazing talent playing at our humble hall. CK Cafe did an amazing job on the meals, which all had rave reviews from attendees 😋 and Annie and The Bear (aka Maree & Darryl) were a pleasure to listen to over dinner and even got a few bodies moving before the main act. Thank you all who came out to enjoy a fun night in Ewingar!

Next event: Friday 5th August, with 3 awesome artists: Jonah Earley , Figster and Nikolaine Martin 😁

ASH GRUNWALD TO PLAY AT EWINGAR RISING 2021, 2 weeks before hitting the stage at Bluesfest!

We are super excited to have this amazing artist perform in our little community!!!

Ash is an Australian blues musician who has released nine studio albums and received five nominations for ARIA Music Awards. Five albums have charted in the ARIA Albums Chart top 50; Fish out of Water (2008), Hot Mama Vibes (2010), Trouble's Door (2012), Gargantua (2013) and Mojo (2019). Ash’s recent collaboration with Josh Teskey from the Teskey Brothers lead to the release of his latest album, Push the Blues Away (2020).

Under the guidance of his grandfather, Ash learned to play guitar and bass as a young child, together recording his first ever song - a cover of Howlin’ Wolf’s ‘Going Down Slow’. At age 26, after his brief career as a secondary school teacher, he cemented his career change with the release of his first album, Introducing (2002), a solo affair consisting of one guitar, one man and a stomp box; followed not long after by his second album I Don’t Believe, defining Ash as a soulful bluesman far beyond his years.

Alongside his ARIA Award nominations, Ash has also won MBAS Blues Performer Of The Year (2003), and the AIR Best Independent Blues And Roots Album for 2010’s, Hot Mama Vibes. The first single ‘Walking’ from that album, featured prominently in the Hollywood blockbuster ‘Limitless’, which starred Robert De Niro and Bradley Cooper.
