Marriage wasn’t always a certainty for Cody + Whitney. For them, building a life together, creating a home, having pets, and raising children felt like the more important milestones. But over time, they came to see marriage as a way to celebrate their journey and everything they have built, surrounded by the people who matter most to them.

Cody and Whitney are lucky to share most of their friends, which made their day even more special. They reflected that while their relationship isn’t always perfect… (I mean, whose is?) what is really important to them is setting an example for their children about what marriage can be. It’s not about being perfect or never having disagreements. For Cody + Whitney, it’s about having a best friend a partner who stands by your side through the good, the bad, and the ugly. Someone who wants the best for you, supports you no matter what, and knows how to keep things fun!

And keep things fun they did! I had reports on Sunday morning that this beautiful private property wedding partied well and truly into the night. Good on them, I say!

A New Year’s celebration like no other.

Marriage to Matt was his promise not just to Hannah, but to their entire family, that everything he does will be with the intention of strengthening their relationship and creating a better life for their family.

For Hannah, marriage was the final step in making their family feel complete. It was important to both Hannah + Matt that their family shares the same last name, symbolising they are whole. They couldn’t think of a more meaningful place to make this lifelong commitment to each other than at St. Andrew’s.

Hannah + Matt have shared many great moments in their relationship, however, the biggest highlight and most special time has been welcoming their two beautiful daughters into the world, Clementine and Florence. Hannah + Matt have loved watching their family grow and seeing each other in their roles as a mother and father. Their two little girls are the heart of their family and the greatest reflection of the love Hannah + Matt share.

As 2024 comes to an end, I want to extend a heartfelt thank you to the incredible couples who trusted me to capture their stories, bring their visions to life, and write and deliver their wedding ceremonies.

Every wedding this year has been wonderfully unique, and it’s been an absolute joy to be a part of each and every one.

This year has taken me across Australia, from Western Australia to South Australia, New South Wales, and of course, here at home in Victoria.

Looking ahead to 2025 and 2026, I feel truly humbled by the couples who have chosen me as their wedding celebrant. I can’t wait to create something that is perfectly you.

And that might be true, but if I were to wish you a love, I wouldn’t wish fire for you.

You see, fire is powerful. It burns bright and then it’s gone. It’s beautiful and warm, but it doesn’t last long.

So instead of wishing you a love that burns, I wish you a love like a river twists and turns.

Jake and Maddie are a couple who radiate happiness and energy. Their love and commitment to each other is truly heartwarming. The 15th of November was a celebration of everything they have built together, with so much more still ahead.

This June, Jake and Maddie celebrated four years together, with the best yet to come. It was abundantly clear that these two really are made for each other. 🥹

This year, Taylah + Sam celebrated seven years together.

Taylah + Sam have been each other’s biggest cheerleaders throughout it all. Sam helped Taylah rediscover her love of basketball after a period of burnout, training with her until she found her confidence and joy again. Taylah, in turn has been Sam’s rock through tough professional basketball seasons, cheering him on and caring for him through injuries.

These two have created a beautiful life together and share a deep understanding of one another. They have proven time and time again that they really are stronger together, and on the 7th of December, surrounded by those who love them, they said “I do” to a lifetime together.

Their day really did have all the feels 🥹

Rosie + Henry | 25th October 2024

I absolutely loved being part of Rosie and Henry’s celebration. Rosie and I first met as young pre teens at the Tanunda netball courts, where we spent many happy, innocent years playing netball together. It felt especially meaningful to create a ceremony that was perfectly them.

This year Rosie and Henry celebrated 13 incredible years together. Their life has been nothing short of adventurous. From travelling the world, from Indonesia to the UK, Europe, and beyond! To buying their first home and raising their beloved dog Shadow they’ve built a life filthy rich with memories.

Having met when they were just 19 and 20, they’ve shared so much - changing careers, creating new friendships and eventually, becoming parents to their wonderful son, Otis. While their travels may have slowed for now, Rosie and Henry are wholeheartedly embracing this new chapter of raising Otis and watching their relationship evolve in the most beautiful way.

Ellie + Hamish’s wedding on Saturday, 23rd November marked the 20th wedding I’ve officiated since starting this exciting celebrant journey. That’s 40 of the best people hitched!

What started as a simple thought “How cool would it be to hitch your friends and family?” has turned into being part of so many joyful wedding days.

I’ll never tire of the wholesome feeling of sending two legends off on the next step of their relationship as a married couple.
