You're looking at the end result of ALOT of pivoting, compromise and trust. I mean, wedding floristry always involves these things😅 but this particular wedding was next level for me.
Elly and Dereks wedding was during that awkward time between Christmas and New Year. You know the one, the week where the world stops turning? Flower availability was very hit and miss, and limited. Not putting it poliety, sourcing flowers was just an absolute nightmare.
But look.
This bouquet is proof that sometimes letting go of what you think it should look like, working with what you have and trusting your inspiration, can end up getting you somewhere really fu***ng cool. Better than you imagined.
One of my favourite parts is that I was able to use locally grown blooms from my home here on Tamborine Mountain. Beautiful locals stepping up to save the day with the flowers that they grew in their gardens and in their fields.
