Since the start of us producing Digital Downloads
for our couples to obtain their Wedding Videos.

We decided that some couples actually like to have a physical USB
to store their treasured memories forever.
So what we started doing was, Every Month, we would put all couples names into a hat and at the end of each months weddings.
We would draw out 1 couples name to Win a Family Edition of our Signature Gift Boxed USB's

A lovely couple that we had the honor of capturing their wedding 2 weeks ago have just sar down and watched their Full Feature Wedding Video for the first time.
I want to share the short conversation I had with her here on messenger just to highlight the importance of Wedding Videography & your memories.

Neal… you are INCREDIBLE. Thank you so so much! There’s so many parts of the night I didn’t get to see, and our video just captures it all so perfectly 😭🥲 you are truly a blessing, thank you again!.

ME:

And what you just said is exactly why a videographer must be hired at every wedding
Its not the moment you get to see. Its the moment you DONT get to see.

BRIDE:
I completely agree, all those moments I had to be present elsewhere and missed others, it’s amazing getting to feel like I’ve now seen it all

ME:
Every couple should concentrate more of Videography than anything else at their wedding
Simply because. Your wedding is now over. And all you have left is the memories
Can you imagine what memories are lost without videography

The Wild Vine

As many know I do not recommend Wedding Industry Businesses lightly.
They must possess the "Above & Beyond" capabilities to be attracted by my radar.
The Wild Vine just outside of Wagga ticks all boxes.

Well, the secret is out, I guess.
Yep, it was my birthday yesterday.
And if it wasnt for the Labor Government changing the age of retirement. I could be sitting on a boat somewhere fishing.
But oh no. another 2 years to go, (If I make it).

Anyhow I wish to thank everyone for their birthday wishes.
I was just so stocked to be reminded that im 65 (insert sarcasm here)
But this old videographer will just keep on going.
I mean, what else is there to do?
Golfing, Fishing, Holidaying, Cruising,
Nah, that all sounds boring right?
Lets keep slaving away feeding the Government with our tax dollars. lol

But seriously
Thank to to everyone for the Birthday Wishes.
Specially my t\2 angels in the philippines who got on facetime to sing me Happy Birthday.

Today we attended the Wagga Wedding Expo
And it has been brought to my attention, a printing error has happened on our Gift Vouchers.
I take full responsibility for this. It was a error at the time of printing.

MOTHERS OF THE BRIDE at Weddings.
A Beautiful Bride is always the Princess of the Day.
However, the Queen of the Day is traditionally in the background.
While the Father of the bride attends to all things associated with his daughter getting married.
Walk down the Aisle.
Main Speech at the Reception.
Father/Daughter Dance
Mothers sit back, out of sight, quietly making sure everything goes to plan.

Well now we are well into 30 + years of filming weddings. I wanted to pass on moments we have witnessed where Mothers are not only acknowledged or recognised. But have become a huge part of the wedding day.

1/ Both Mother of Bride & Groom hold their childs wedding rings. At the moment of the ring exchange, the celebrant invites both Mothers to approach each others child and present the ring of the Bride to the Groom and the Ring of the Groom to the Bride. This is a very touching moment as both Mothers are showing their blessing to each others child for this union to take place.

2/ Similar to above, But with the printed personal vow cards. Each mother presents these vow cards to their Son or Daughter indicating they have read these vows and approve of them.

3/ Mother joins the Father for the Aisle Walk. They are then met by the Mother & Father of the Groom at the end of the Aisle. Then both Fathers es**rt the Bride the final steps and place their respective childs hands into each others to indicate the moment of "It's Your Time"

4/ Bouquet Toss. A traditionally fun moment where the Ladies fight over catching a thrown bouquet which in most cases ends up with the bouquet being destroyed. But this one time we witnessed the Bride stand up , Made a very short speech of 2 sentances about her Mother. And proceeded to pass the Bouquet to her mother. Admittedly, this was quite a emotional moment as the Brides Father had passed away previously and a Medallion which included the Fathers photo was attached to the Bouquet. The Bride simply said. "Mum, Now you are both together celebrating my wedding".
Que the Tissues.

5/ The Father/Daughter Dance. First Dance
There have been a few times I witnessed this next moment.
Bride & Groom prepare for their Fist Dance only to invite both sets of parents to the dance floor first. The bride grabs the microphone and simply says. I want you all to witness OUR FUTURE. As the Parents danced in front of the Bride & Groom.

6/ A reverse Father/Daughter dance.
This is my favourite. And we call it "The Last Hand Over"
The bride dances with her Father first while the Groom patiently waits on the edge of the dance floor. As the Father & Daughter come to the end of their dance. The Father turns to the Groom. The Groom enters the dance floor and the Father places his Daughters hand in the Grooms Hand and simply says. "Your Life Together Begins Now"

As the end of 2025 will see our retirement as full time Wedding Videographers. I plan on creating posts, just like this one. Detailing experiences, both Good & Bad during our 30+ years capturing weddings.
Who knows, Maybe our experiences can assist other couples.
