Our final setup yesterday was just magical down at the 4 Eva Keepsakes garden.
Both the garden and Joanne are true treasures of this town and I will always be inspired by the passion Jo exudes in every aspect of her work and her drive to consistently go above and beyond for her customers.

Now that we have finalised each of the direct commitments we had made since sharing the news that we will be moving on from the business, we will be touching base this month with those that have expressed interest in buying the business and/ or the hire stock.

Thankyou to all of our wonderful clients that we had the pleasure of working with - Your events will always hold a special place in our memories and hearts.

🟡 BUSINESS FOR SALE 🟡

After a tough and lengthy deliberation my husband and I have decided to put this business up for sale.

Unfortunately between both of us already having full-time jobs, life with a toddler and a newborn on the way in a few months, we simply dont have the capacity to help this business truly flourish.

This business has been such a great addition to our little town and has so much potential to grow - we would like to see it continued on by someone with the passion and availability that our customer base deserves.

We will be selling the hire stock, the business name & logo, our pre-established website and social media presence.
We would hope to have the sale finalised at the end of October 2023.

All existing bookings taken for 2023 will be completely unaffected - We are committed to seeing it through for your big day!

If we have not found the right buyer for the business by November, we will then look to break up our stock items and sell them on individually.

I wanted to take a moment to introduce myself and my family to you all - Meet the McEvoys!!

‘Something More - Event Hire’ is a family owned and run business, based in Sunny Gunnedah NSW

Michael and I were both born and raised in Gunnedah. We took a brief (6 years) hiatus in Newcastle before moving back about 10 months ago … There really is no place like home 🏡

Upon moving back home, we began to plan our wedding (YAY! About time seeing as we had been engaged now for almost 2 years)
It was at this point that we came to realise we wanted a little ‘something more’ than what Gunnedah already has on offer by way of equipment and decor hire for my wedding ceremony.
We had this gorgeous local garden picked out for my ceremony (Out the back of 4 Eva Keepsakes. Go check it out, it’s absolutely stunning!) but found that if we wanted to hire wedding ceremony specific items such as Americana Chairs, an Arbor, a Signing Table and Welcome Sign Easels etc etc, we would have to source these items through non-Gunnedah based suppliers.
If I’m being honest, It all felt too hard 😅 Between relocating back to Gunnedah, adjusting to life with a 6 month old baby, starting new jobs and buying a house that we are also renovating, an affordable and easily accessible ‘all in one’ ceremony solution was what we really needed.
A fuss-free arrangement that didn’t see us breaking the bank or compromising on that feeling of traditional elegance that I had dreamt of for my wedding.

This is what ignited our vision for Something More - Event Hire. We are passionate about providing our local community with these products and setup services and genuinely enjoy playing a role in events that hold such meaning to our customers - providing you with a service that is to the standard we ourselves had wished for 💫

This means you can hire our ceremony chairs and then later pair them with our table setup to allow for a DIY reception.
