So you have gotten to the point of the planning process where social media is making you second guess your decisions and style…

The truth is, it’s a normal part of today’s wedding planning process. With a flooded algorithm of wedding trends and ads every time you open your phone - how could you not start to question your wedding selections?

And whilst these viral trends or weddings are popular for good reason, it’s important to remember that the reality is often very different to what it seems online.

Even some of the most difficult or unlucky weddings can look flawless with the skill of an incredible photographer, videographer or content creator. Never underestimate the talent of these creatives!

So whilst Pinterest, Tik Tok and Instagram are invaluable tools for inspiration, don’t forget to back yourself in decision-making, be a team and don’t compare your wedding choices to online opinions. Not every trend is as practical or aesthetically pleasing in person as it is in photos!

A whole year of Marry Me Murrihy.

It’s hard to put into words how incredible the last year has been. After years of dreaming up my own business and finding the confidence to branch out on my own, the last 12 months have been the most surreal and rewarding.

Thank you to all the talented vendors that have become friends, my family for their continued boasting and support, and to all the couples who have let me be part of your special days. I truly have the best job in the world and I will never take it for granted.

From the late night zoom meetings, to the Bunnings runs for emergency supplies, to the phone calls turned catch ups confirming details with suppliers, to the tears of joy as I drive home after a phenomenal wedding day.

This little dream of mine has quickly become a huge part of me and who I am. Nothing makes me more proud than telling others about the beautiful couples I get to meet and days I am lucky enough to be part of.

I am so excited for the huge year ahead and to see where this small little biz will go ✨

One of the most important elements of planning your wedding is ensuring you are confident and comfortable with your ‘wet weather’ option.

Unfortunately, your coordinator can’t control the weather. Trust me, we would if we could! But what we can control is a smooth and seamless transition to your beautiful indoor ceremony.

Having an on-the-day coordinator ensures you remain stress-free knowing there is a professional handling all supplier queries, relocation changes and important decision making.

When choosing your dream venue, a reminder to ask about your wet-weather alternatives!

And of course, don’t forget to book an on-the-day coordinator to ensure you can enjoy every second of your special day stress-free and supported ❤️

In my opinion, there are so many beautiful benefits in seeing your partner for a ‘first look’ before your ceremony.

Whether it’s the intimate alone time you may not otherwise find on your special day, the beautiful vulnerability that you and your partner can share without the pressures of an audience or even the ability to get through family and bridal party photos pre-ceremony allowing you to join in on your cocktail hour.

‘Does a first look took away from the aisle moment?’

Whilst you may have already spent time with your partner before the ceremony, nothing can take away from the moment they see you walking down the aisle, your wedding song playing, surrounded by all your closest family and friends. It is truly a moment like no other and continues to be one of my favourite parts of any wedding.

So whilst I will always encourage all my couples to choose what is right for them, I highly recommend a ‘first look’ for all those unsure or considering. After all, why not enjoy two incredibly special moments on your wedding day? ✨

The first six months of Marry Me Murrihy have been everything I had hoped of and more.

I have travelled to some incredible venues and locations across Victoria, have met so many beautiful couples that I now consider friends, have been lucky enough to work and be supported by some of the industry’s best vendors, have been trusted with some of my closest friends wedding days (including G&T pictured above), and have even partnered with an incredible, like-minded and passionate wedding business at 🤍

Thank you to everyone for your support so far, this is only the beginning!!!

It’s hard to explain just how happy it makes me to support you on your wedding day.

There is so much I love about weddings. Whether it’s guiding you through tough or tricky decisions, suggesting interesting or fun ideas to personalise your day or coordinating all your amazing vendors.

But then there’s the little things. Providing comfort to your nervous partner as they wait for the arrival of their soon to be bride or groom. The special moment I get with a bride, fluffing their dress and telling them how beautiful they are before I queue them down the aisle. The relieved but excited exhale the couple have after their ceremony, ready to dance the night away. And don’t get me started on how much I love organising the outrageously chaotic energy of a bridal party before their reception entrances!

Thank you to all couples who have trusted me with their special day over the years. And to those who’s weddings are yet to come, I can’t wait to share these unforgettable moments with you soon 🤍
