My first cooking video is done, but I still need more work!! I made Japchae(Korean stories noodle) with my Korean master sauce.

Here’s a simple guide to make Japchae, the beloved Korean stir-fried glass noodles dish. It’s a perfect mix of savour, sweet, and umami flavour, packed with vibrant veggies and tender beef or mushrooms.

Ingredients:

Protein of your choice (sliced): 200g (e.g., chicken, beef, pork, tofu, or prawns)

Veggies (cut into strips if serving with noodles):

Carrot: 1 medium, julienned

Onion: 1 small, thinly sliced

Spinach: 1 cup (loosely packed)

Capsicum (any colour): 1 small, thinly sliced

Mushroom: 1 cup, sliced (shiitake or button mushrooms work well)

Potato noodles (dangmyeon or glass noodles): 200g (dry)

Sesame oil: 2 tbsp (for tossing noodles)

Korean Master Sauce: 4-6 tablespoons (2-3 tbsp for stir-fry, 2-3 tbsp for Japchae noodles)

Cooking oil: 2 tablespoons (divided for cooking protein and veggies)

Optional for spice: Chilli flakes or fresh chilli (to taste)

Salt: To taste, recomended 1/2 tbsp.(if needed for seasoning noodles)

Stir-Fry Recipe:

Prep Time: 10-15 minutes (slicing protein and veggies, seasoning the protein).

Cooking Time: 8-10 minutes (cooking the protein and veggies).

Total Time for Stir-Fry: Approximately 20-25 minutes.

Japchae Recipe:

Prep Time: 15 minutes (soaking the noodles and prepping other ingredients).

Cooking Time: 10-12 minutes (cooking the noodles, combining with veggies and meat).

Total Time for Japchae: Approximately 25-30 minutes.
