Happy 2nd Anniversary to my son and daughter in law Callum and Rachel!

On that day I was mother of the groom, a role that was beyond special!

What is a Naming Ceremony?

A baby naming ceremony is performed by a Celebrant that is held with family and friends to celebrate a new baby's arrival and naming.

So who actually authorises a Marriage Celebrant?
Long story short, it is the Attorney-Generals Department of the Australian Federal Government. This means that your Marriage Celebrant has laws to uphold to ensure your wedding is valid. Marriage Celebrants pay an annual fee and undertake Ongoing Professional Development to retain their registration.

“Who brings this woman to be married to this man?” For many years this is the traditional wording that has been used in many wedding ceremonies, it is generally referred to as "giving away the bride". In recent years we are seeing many alternate ways for this part of the ceremony which is beautiful. Today we see not just Fathers walking down the aisle, we see Mothers, Grandparents, Children, Siblings and even the lovely bride on her own. Monday 24/4/23 was a SPECTACULAR day for a wedding!!
It was an honour and a delight to officiate and marry a very special couple in a relaxed and warm ceremony filled, of course, with lots of love ❤️
I'm pictured here (waiting to start) with a wedding industry favourite, Joel from BNJ Events and Decorations who helped the couple organise their day right down to the smallest detail and who also supplied and setup the amazing decorations. Also pictured is Susie from Farm Vigano (what an amazing venue!) - that hosted the whole day so beautifully!

Let me introduce my new business to you!!

I am now an authorised celebrant, and I am excited to start down my new career path to deliver ceremonies that are personalised and meaningful, with care and enthusiasm.

I can perform wedding ceremonies (and look after all the legalities that go with it), naming days, vow renewals and put together something special for significant birthdays, anniversaries and retirements as well.

I can also help with funerals and memorial services. There is perhaps no greater honour than helping families farewell a person they loved dearly.

This is something I have been wanting to do for quite a while, and now with my registration official, my qualifications complete and with the support of my family I am ready to go!
