Introducing interstate headliner SECTUMSEMPRA/INFERI (VIC)!!

SECTUMSEMPRA - Dark psytrance project.
INFERI - Hard Techno project.

Both are the musical babies of Kimberley Ellen, based in Naarm/Melbourne Australia.

[SECTUMSEMPRA - PSYTRANCE]
DARK | HITECH | EXPERIMENTAL | PSYCORE

After discovering festivals and bush doofs in 2016, this sparked a love for the intensity and passion of dark psytrance.

Kimberley’s SECTUMSEMPRA project is an expression of her masculine energy as she focuses on the relentless and aggressive. She does this by playing artists such as Biomekanik, Kasatka, Vox Fabri, D.O.C, Oroboro, Nyctophungi, Kinetic Flux and many more. She will often choose tracks with darker, more 'mind drilling' basslines to then playfully float between tracks that have higher energy and grit. She will often add in touches of hitech or psycore.

SECTUMSEMPRA brings a grittier and more aggressive sound to the Melbourne psytrance scene.

[INFERI - TECHNO]
HARD | DARK | INDUSTRIAL | SCHRANZ

A love of the harder sounds of techno was born after discovering warehouse rave and squat parties in 2015. Since then, a passion arose within to spread the joy of hard techno and schranz and in 2019, the project of INFERI was born.

INFERI’S techno brings a punch and does not slow the f**k down, arranging tracks from artists such as Slugos, Petduo, Instigator, O.B.I, Withecker, and many more. Recently, she has discovered a love for of the darker and industrial sounds of hard techno and crafts a journey with high energy and sinister elements. Some other prominent artists she plays include Svetec, Rebekah, NOUS, Vendex and the like.

Which ever flavour you choose, Sectumsempra/Inferi aims to captivate the audience into focusing on the darker and more intense elements of their psyche or to complete loose themselves into the chaos of the dance floor.

IL!

We are absolutely delighted to have this local legend showcasing his impeccable taste and carefully curated selection of music across two separate yet equally as well crafted journeys.
IL, who’s better known for his devotion towards world class techno, whether it is outdoors or at your local club, will also be gracing the darkpsy stage with his most recent exploration of the heavy end of the darkpsy and hitech realms! His sets are guaranteed brain melting, and we cannot wait to stomp to them this Saturday!

Isaac Lehmann, known by his initials IL, is a stalwart figure in the electronic dance music scene in Perth, Western Australia.
His interest for these sounds began in 1994, and he quickly fell in love with an undeniable passion. A few years later, he turned to the wheels of steel and has been perfecting his craft ever since.
With over 25 years of experience behind the decks, his desire for the music is as strong as ever.

Since becoming a part of the community in the doof and outdoor festival scene in Perth, IL has graced almost every main stage with his presence. From small intimate bush gatherings through to festivals such as Wonderland and Blossom, this guy brings a unique individuality, personality and flair to each of his performances that’s always sure to leave a lasting impression.

IL takes listeners on a journey through unique stylings, immersing them in the psychedelic, transcendent sounds of electronic music. He enhances the musical experience for both himself and his audience with his carefully curated journeys.

From deep, dark grooves and ethereal soundscapes to pounding beats, IL's sound is both unique and timeless, making him a favorite among peers old and new. If you're looking for a DJ who truly embodies the spirit of electronic music, IL is your man.

Artist Spotlight:

Introducing homegrown talent, the man, the myth, the legend…Shie’ox!

Shie'ox is Chris from Perth, Western Australia.
Shie'ox has been producing electronic music for over a decade, currently writing night full-on to dark psytrance with a psychedelic forest twist. His musical style is an energetic mix of rhythmic night elements with rolling basslines mixed with colourful synth soundscapes and arrangements. Shie'ox has been a staple of the Western Australian psytrance scene for over a decade, and his unique sound has seen him play at many other events around Australia.

Shie'ox is proud to currently represent the Croatian label Insectik Records from Perth, Western Australia. He has also released on CD and digital download compilations since 2011 with many psytrance labels, including NABI records, Green Wizards Records and Loose Cognition Records to name a few. He recently was selected as a winner for a remix competition compilation on Bom Shanka Music, and there is much more to come.

Some of his highlights include playing at Zero Point festival in 2013 in Victoria, supporting Rubix Qube and Biorhythm, and Return to Kamp Krusty in 2014 in Victoria where he supported Twisted System. Another favourite festival he has played at was Ergot Gathering, which he has played at in 2017 and 2019.

Shie'ox has played at parties with the likes of of Quadrant, Fungus Funk, Nargun, Onionbrain, Xpiral, Rinkadink, Loose Connection, Phsiris, Ryanosaurus, Witch Freak, Electrypnose, Ticon, Insector, Chromatone, Audio Unit, GMS, Ozzy, Farebi Jalebi, Tantrum, Wizack Twizack, Rubix Qube, Biorhythm, Hypogeo, Coma Sector, Space Tribe, Twisted System, Rabdom L, Tune Raider, Tom Cosm, Braniac, Materia, Merkaba, Terrafractyl, Sensient, Tetrameth, Grouch and more local Australian artists and DJs.

“Started my techno journey about 3 years ago when I first heard some great local DJs playing techno at a warehouse and that exact moment I knew I had something in me for techno. Artist update!

Good morning tribe, due to unexpected circumstances our friend and techno powerhouse Aaron M won’t be able to join us for our first event. However, we will have Notre copain Jigaro joining this solid lineup!

Influenced and inspired by a family of Dj, he grew up surrounded by electronic music. After 4 years of enjoying and organising techno events around Paris, he discovered the power of trance music during his first bush doof in Australia.
Exposed to many different genre of trance he really got into tribal sounds and resonances. If you really want to see him thrive, come and dance on his organic beats at sunrise, his favourite time to play.
