One of those awkward introductory posts to show the face behind the flowers... and it happens to coincide with a celebratory day!

🇦🇺 * 10 years * 🇦🇺

10 years ago on this day, my husband and I moved to Australia not having a clue what was going to happen, having never visited and knowing nothing about Australia. We'd known each other for less than 18 months and were only on temporary visas, but thought we'd have an adventure - and what an adventure it's been ❤️

There is too much to share, including incredible highs and some significant challenges, but I am so grateful for the life we've built here! We have some amazing friends, and we're building our own little village despite being away from all of our family - that part doesn't get easier, even after ten years.

Thanks for having us, Australia 🇦🇺 🦘

Dried floral arrangements 💐

I love arranging dried flowers and playing with textures, and adding pops of colour here and there 😍 This piece was made more sustainably using chicken wire (rather than oasis).

Beautiful blooms to spoil your Mum or any special mother figure in your life are available in petite, standard or large bunches. Choose from pastel or bright colours for your bunch!

Cut off for pre-orders is Tuesday 9th May, so get your orders in quickly! Collection or delivery is available on Saturday 13th May - see below.

Floral therapy can also assist you in reaching your therapeutic goals 🎯 From a Speech Pathology perspective this can include initiating conversations, ask/answering questions, turn taking, topic maintenance/shift, improving sustained attention and planning and organisation skills 💪

Kindred Blooms will be running workshops that cater to YOU, supporting YOUR needs as an individual. Visual supports, adjusted communication and consideration of fatigue management are just some of the ways this occurs. This is made possible by having an experienced Speech Pathologist run the workshops 🙌

Using foraged foliage and dark colours isn't something I would normally choose, so I purposely focused on them to give myself a challenge!

Floral therapy 💐 Why do it?

Flowers have so many benefits, that I really wanted to incorporate my creative side with my clinical side!

Flower arranging can have so many therapeutic benefits including, but not limited to, increasing:

🧠 sustained attention
👀 visuospatial awareness
🎯 planning and organisation
🗣️ social communication
🤝 social connection
🧘 mindfulness and mood

Running these workshops with my Speech Pathologist skill set gives me the ability to engage and encourage these therapeutic benefits from those attending. Making workshops inclusive by providing additional visual supports as needed, is one of my passions. I am there to support and guide you!
