Hey Y’all

Here’s the details of our Last Ever Cookup at the Lara RSL Beer Garden.

Switching it up this time so it’s a lunch to early afternoon feed.

$50 per person (2 person min) kids menu will be via cash or card on the day.

The Lara RSL Sub Branch will be opening their Bar for beverages for the event.

The BBQ Pitmaster Platter will contain the following,

Sliced Black Onyx Beef Brisket
Pulled Pork Shoulder
Smoked Jalapeno, Beef and Cheddar Sausage
Lamb lollipops with chimichurri sauce
Hot Smoked Sweet Peach BBQ Chicken Wings
Sides of,
Mac Daddy Cheese

Hey Yall,

Both Celia and I have been blown away from the response from our announcement yesterday

We have a little bit of time left before we fully close so we are currently planning a last carpark bbq popup in lara.

We will have all the fan favourites from over the years so this will be the last chance.

Once we have a date and details we will share it with you here

Hey Yall,

Little bit of a sad post but here we go.

After tonight’s private function, Bearded Brothers Que will close for the very last time.

After 4 Smokey years, hundred’s (tonnes) of briskets, a heap of functions, weddings and countless happy people, we have decided to close it all up.

Times are tough for everyone and this was just not viable for our family anymore. Throw in the increase food costs and staff shortages we’ve tried to keep it going but have made this very difficult decision to fire up the smoker for the last time.

So with that said, a huge thank you to all of our loyal customers and followers from both Celia and I.

We want to wish you all the very best for the years ahead.

Hey Yall

On the hunt for two ongoing staff members to cover our expanding business operations.

1 full time 4 Days per week 35-40hrs

1 part time 2-3 Days Per Week 20-25hrs

About the Role

Both roles are in both preparation and food service side of the business in both public and private events.

Flexibility to be able to undertake Overnight travel to locations within Victoria (travel allowance and accommodation provided)

Work week would be rotating Roster of the following days
Wednesday to Sunday of which would be consecutive no split days. 

On shift allowances for free drink and food as part of employment renumeration 

The Candidates,

Ideal candidate would possess
General working knowledge of Hospitality and or the ability to work in a fast-paced small team environment

General knowledge of barbecue low and slow cooking methods (advantage, not essential)

First aid, working with children’s check and Food safe handler certificate (not essential but willing to undertake as part of employment training)

Ability to drive company own and hire vehicles to and from events (Car license needed)

renumeration

Pay would be set by the standard hospitality award but would be have allowances for higher rates for existing skill sets and experience plus standard rates of Super and leave entitlements 

Option for full-time position to be main into an apprenticeship in western cookery (commercial cookery) certificate 3

After a huge weekend of weddings and our Lara Texmex Sunday we are off to Mansfield to attend the 2024 Outdoor Expo in the heart of Mansfield.

We will be bringing back our favourites like our Pitmaster Box, the ever popular Que Cup plus our Pork Belly Bites and the staples Smoked Cheese burger and loaded carnivore burger

Tex Mex is back in lara for this Sunday at the normal spot at the lara RSL serving from 5pm

Have the night off and enjoy a delicious treat from our local BBQ food truck.

Here’s the menu below also just to add the Birria Tacos are 3 not 2 just for those playing at home.

May have a special on the night menu or two but will need to wait and see.

Well Cats out of the bag, we have been invited to participate in a huge regional Victorian BBQ festival.

We will be hitting the road in July and November to visit both Shepparton and Wodonga as part of Smoke on the Water

Going to be a great showcase of local and state based Pitmasters and their crews.

Really looking forward to showing our style of bbq off while connecting with a great bunch of people.

**Service Update**

With ever rising bank fees and merchants fees we have decided Effective immediately all future transactions paid with cash via our Food Truck events will received a 10% discount

Our business has turned to almost 97% card and to date this year between Software and Merchant/Bank fees we have paid a good amount in charges each and every week

So we have decided to pass on a saving to our loyal customers who are happy to pay in cash

Card will always be accepted, but cash is preferred
