Virtual Reality Therapy? 🧐 How can mental-health "avatars" be the future of telehealth services

In a 2022 study, 30% of people preferred talking to an avatar in virtual reality therapy. Virtual reality exposure therapy has been proven to help with anxiety, phobias, and other related issues.

People are likely to feel uncomfortable with too realistic avatars.

👉 Some tech experts predict that augmented reality might be mainstream within 5 years. Eventually, clients may be able to project a virtual therapist or psychiatrist into their living space.

👉 It is already the case that 45% of telehealth clients between 18 and 44 prefer this method over face-to-face contact with their therapists. (source below)

The report speculates that it will soon be more accessible for people to consult their mental health professionals via virtual reality instead of meeting with them.

They might even have their own avatar present in their provider’s room. In 2030, some experts predict all five senses will be accessible through virtual reality.

📍 The events landscape has changed because of the global pandemic. New report by CMO Council and Cvent talks about the hybrid format of in-person/out-of-person events.

Furthermore:
👉 It also explains how to make sure you have a comprehensive strategy for managing the next generation of event formats including conferences, trade shows, road shows and customer groups.

👉 More than two-thirds of marketers are " moderately effective" or " not effective" at executing virtual events that deliver value.

👉 60% said they will be smaller and more numerous in size in the Next Generation.

👉 The report says it is necessary to use online platforms, on-demand content, and better digital content delivery as well as deeper engagement with their audiences.

👉 One CMO talked about using video editing team to create high-quality videos of presentations for his organization which would enhance the interactive experience.

The last 10 years have brought many challenges to improving business and brand awareness.

Marketers are making a shift from in-person to digitalized events. The advantages of the hybrid event format include:

👉 Increasing attendee numbers
👉 Increased audience engagement
👉 Better analytics, more flexibility for different sessions, and fewer costs.

In-person events could take too long to organize. Virtual events can ramp up quickly. They are cheaper compared to live events as they do not require much planning time.

There are also no travel costs for participants or guests and no physical venue costs.

Hybrid events provide solutions to experience in person and for those who want to attend in virtual. It is possible to connect people via audio and video chat, sessions, breakout rooms, and polls.

It decreases the carbon footprint by 94% and reduces the amount of energy used during an event.

After a two-year pandemic break, exhibition centers are now open.

Some 83% of those who have previously visited exhibitions are ready to go again. More than 1.5 million people attend the trade fair events in Finland every year.

About 4% of participants prioritize virtual events during the pandemic.

In 2019, trade fairs and other events held at exhibition centers in Finland brought more than half a billion euros in revenue.

Many professionals found it difficult to develop new skills or get acquainted with new products when they were not able to attend their usual trade shows.

The association of trade fair and event organizers in Finland covers the professional organization of exhibitions in Finland and its members represent some of the largest trade fair companies in the country. It represents 150 different trades fairs arranged in various parts of Finland each normal year.
