Swipe for more nonsense: FORTRESS, you were incredible!

New Year's Eve 2024/25 was an amazing fantasy spectacle and it was my honour and pleasure to bring you a curated nerdcuterie selection of beats, bangers and bops from all up and down the sacred timeline!

With a brief of Fantasy and "bridgerton style edm" while keeping it sing-along and high energy, this was an incredibly fun collection of tracks to curate, I had over 300 picked out that were contenders but only 60 made it through on the night.

I've included a heap of my favourite mixes and moments from the night on this carousel, because I got to play out some of my favourite artists and songs that need more ears on them 👂😁

Thank you so much for allowing me to curate vibes and throw down the nerdiest of nonsense for New Years Eve 2024/25 (how do NYE numbers work? 😭)

It's such a privilege for me to play these events and to see people feeling safe enough to create dance circles, join in conga lines, throw down full shrek dance moves and feel the music along with me, music that means so much to me personally that I cried a couple of times during my set, yeah, that's a special feeling.
photography did an amazing job capturing the sheer scale of the crowd, and some of the moments you can see in the full resolution photos are incredible - I'll be making a highlights reel for YouTube soon and might pan around the crowd because there were so many smiles, you were all unbelievable - but I'm running out of superlatives, so I'll shut up and get out of the way of the photos ❤️❤️

Massive shout out to and , we spent ages chatting over how the night was going to go beforehand and wanted to make sure we brought you the finest fancy fantasy experience we could 😁

Happy New Year everyone! Its 2024̶5! THANK YOU for everything!!

Some quick snippets from the incredible NYE party at last night with warming the floor, me on heater duty and bringing it all home at midnight - what an event! The place was absolutely rammed wall to wall in the arena and it was HOT, we made the walls shake 😁

continues to evolve, and Brother Seth was due his time to change. The old Venetian mask was looking pretty beat up after a year of performing, and Seth has been changing inside me as well.

Melbourne Fringe Festival, you were AMAZING, thank you!! 2024 was our first time really sending everything we've been working on this last year at full tilt, all the lighting design done by myself and working flawlessly, the venue audio sounding fantastic, and most importantly - the crowd, YOU, being the story drivers and owners of this world we've created!

What is the Book? - That, is up to you.

A story driven to the depths of hell in our search for passion, embracing our primal selves and becoming one with The Glitch, the church of bass became a chapel of chaos, and you drove the way there. Thank you.

I am absolutely filled with emotion tonight. My parents had a Roland digital piano when I was growing up, but my older brother claimed it when we moved cities. I missed the sound of it and always wanted to get back to piano, but tried a few different things and it just wasn't the same.

A few months ago, this Roland Hp147e popped up on Facebook marketplace for $75!! I figured it must have been a scam, and I messaged enquiring but never got a response and the listing was closed.

But over the weekend they actually messaged me to ask if I was still interested! It turned out to be a similar story as mine, but this time the children decided to let the piano go.

It had a non-working F #6 key, so I dismantled it and discovered a liquid spill on the circuit board. Forgot to get photos of the key frame out of the box, but it was pretty cool stuff. Cleaned it up with some electrical contact cleaner, and tested... All working.

So naturally the first thing I played was Red Dwarf... Which I ALSO forgot to record, but instead you get the SECOND thing I played which was some Happy Hardchords 😁

Absolute feels on this today, could cry with happiness but the emotion is just too big regardless. Big ❤️❤️.

Yes, tattoos still hurt: a very personal very major milestone today, revisiting the tattoo I had done 7 years ago!

It's a long story as to why this one is being covered up, but I just want to say a massive THANK YOU to for taking this project on, and an equally massive thank you to .nikki.kay for recommending him!

The brief was to try and get mechanical elements in, referencing the original concept art I drew over a decade ago, and to bring some flavour of Chemical Plant Zone into it.

Jack has done a fu***ng PHENOMENAL job of hitting the brief and I can say this is the first time I've been able to look in the mirror at my arm in years without mixed feelings! Thank you Jack, I can't wait for this to heal so we can get back into it and bring your vision to life!

And yes, lest anyone question my love of sonic, I now have chemical plant zone tattooed on my fu**in' arm.

And GLITCH, man, just , THANK YOU for the opportunity to bring to your space, this was a dream come true for me - I've wanted to play at Glitch for SO LONG and I had always dreamed the Book would fit into this space!

Yes, we have work to do to refine it and get the voice lines clearer, yes, we want to get the lighting controlled so we have those big hype moments - but I'm hoping that's the future now, we've made an entry and DAMN what an entry!

.edwards and those who I've forgotten to tag because brain, you are real legends, you've supported this since the beginning and now we're seeing the fruits of that effort!

1. Scaring the pants off 🤣 sorry!

2. Sound check to live action, s remix of Lavender Town is one I'll keep playing until everyone gets the hang of putting their hands up and everyone just knows it off by heart!

3. Always a bit of room for , and one techno warrior getting a squishmallow to the face

4. Whoever you are, just know it's your fault that we went to RIP AND TEAR at the end there! But hey I don't blame you, made an incredible DnB mix of DOOM all those years ago and it still holds up, but particularly because...

5. It has an accelerator which is a perfect segway off to The Only Thing They Fear Is You, and how else are you going to go 175 to 103bpm in 30 seconds smoothly? Also, SINGING THE DAMN SYNTHESISER LINE WTF PEOPLE.

A couple of longer videos in this carousel, some highlights and favourite moments from my set at afterparty!

It was a great reminder that sometimes how we think things will go in our head really doesn't match reality. I walked in to a very quiet floor, scoped the area and found a lot of people downstairs wanting metal. Well, I came prepared, so I asked the AV crew to help send the word that metal was coming!

The people that came up were fu***ng AMAZING and playing for this crowd was rewarding as hell, THANK YOU. came up spades with a rally downstairs as well, and this ended up being a really strong metal and bass finish to the night, with some great surprises and smiles all round 😁

at was incredible! We've been working on this interactive adventure rave for just over a year, and to get to play it out in the Together Theatre upstairs and get such a crowd in the door was amazing, we couldn't have asked for a better reception!

From the curious "what's this all about then" to the die hard "oh yes get me in there I want to RAVE!", it was a spectrum of people of all interests, sharing a common language - the music.

With Season 2 underway and our first special edition show playing at tomorrow night (a Halloweeb spooktacular), we can't wait to see what next year brings!

Come, seekers, let's have a rave adventure together!

I'm back at for the Arcade Apocalypse afterparty on 2-Nov and this time I'm letting The Glitch out to have a play... WITH YOUR SOULS!

Expect metal riffs, heavy beats and maybe even a chorus of DOOM... 😈🤘 Bring your air guitars and neckbraces, I'll be serving Linkin Park, Mick Gordon, Pendulum and plenty more besides 🦾

I'm on 11pm-Midnight wrapping the evening's festivities but don't think that means I'll be going easy on you... After all, I'm sure there'll be plenty of bloodthirsty legions on the floor after are done raising hell!

May the Rave have pity on your souls!
