I was hoping to get this a bit more practiced before Christmas but, I only started writing it on *checks notes* Sunday, and I really wanted to share an early version with you all ❤️

In this world where AI music is becoming more common, where major corporations are adopting the data funnel and using it to refine their algorithms and create even more "content", I felt a need to stand up and say something.

I may just be a video game edm musician who happens to play a lot of rock n roll and metal, but my favourite franchise is also Sonic the Hedgehog. If anyone would take a stand against this crap it would be him and his friends.

I hesitated to post this on platforms that I know scrape publicly available work for their genAI systems, but I also think it's an important message. Important enough that it got stuck in my head for days causing me to hum it in the bath at any rate!

So, merry Christmas, spend time with those you care about, and remember - every little bit counts. The happiness we find in each other is more important than the dopamine we get from these apps. Every time we get that joy from another person, from an offline hobby - we steal it back from these systems.

The amazing photos are by , thank you so much for being my man behind the lens this year, the work you do for the Melbourne Rave scene is incredible and you deserve way more recognition!

I didn't really expect to get to a point where I could concept a song out and get it to a rave-ready state in a day, but that's what happened with Kickdat.baby, my "will you kick that baby" remix - I only made it on the Monday before the rave!

It's been a heck of an adventure in 2025 and I'm looking forward to 2026 😁 merry Christmas everyone, thank you for being legends!

In the days following a themed event I often post a lot of videos of songs unrelated to the theme. Why? Well, I'm proud of the reactions to them.

The music you weren't expecting to hear but went off to anyway, those moments that you could never plan for, those are the things that really make these raves memorable.

Sometimes I play you new music and it's a clanger, you hate it. I apologise with theme music and wait a while. Sometimes I play off theme and you love it, and we build off each other. Sometimes the theme music isn't vibing and we need to move to guaranteed dancefloor hits. It's a conversation between us, you on the dancefloor and me figuring out what to play next.

Sometimes I take requests, sometimes they aren't gonna vibe with what I'm doing. Sometimes I'm not sure what to play next so I throw a request in and see how it does, sometimes you know better than me what's going on out there - and sometimes the request takes the vibe out back and beats it up for lunch money.

FNAF Rave had the highest % of on-theme music of any party I've played so far, and what I found over the night was - you didn't vibe it in large quantities (the most requests were coming in DURING FNAF songs). It's got to be broken up with interesting things, or even outright chill time.

So yeah, I like to highlight the odd stuff I've played, the songs you didn't expect. Sometimes I've played a friend's song or my own and I want to show that off too!

In any case you're all awesome and the energy at FNAF Rave was phenomenal 😁

Rush E was my first song I covered in acapella - even reached out to them to ask permission and everything!

3 years later, opening a pit to it at a Rave - I don't have the words 😅 this song means so much to me!

Thank you everyone for the journey and trust so far, the dancefloors we've stomped, the tunes we've shared - it was my birthday at the FNAF Rave and you guys made it extra special!!

yo! So I have a gig tonight and I've had to make some adjustments to my plans to make sure I'll be OK!

When it's super humid, POTS can flare up much easier - something to do with the sweat response. When DJing, I get super hot anyway, so I'm not risking a pots flare where I end up dizzy behind the deck!

To mitigate it, I have:

- switched vests to a natural breathable leather
- equipped my lightweight business slacks
- equipped my calf high boots that work as a compressive garment
- packed saline and berocca
- packed a spare dexie for midnight
- extra dosed my fludro (steroid) to keep the blood volume up

I'll need lots of water and nut drinks, and obviously a stool behind the deck to rest on occasionally, but these events are totally survivable if I play it smart!
