We built close relationships with you all and have become a unique family💗 To see like-minded people being confident in whatever they want do and be whoever they want to be, is such a beautiful thing to witness. We’ve been extremely proud and grateful to know every single one of you guys and we will for sure have them join us in our new venture for next year! Life update: Hi y’all! I’m Mel, one half of the creators of Status Quo 👋🏼 Thought I’d jump on here to let you all know our plans for the rest of this year 🗓✨

We mentioned in our past posts that it will be our last month running the cafe, but the pop up space will continue under a different cafe name. I will mostly be working online and pop in occasionally for shop updates, still representing as Status Quo🙃💕

“What are you guys doing next and where are you going?” you might ask… this pandemic has been a challenge with our personal lives(especially having a little one) and have decided to move back to our hometown by December to be with family for Christmas. We’re hoping to open up again but will definitely need a break🎢📉📈📊

I’m extremely thankful to have met a lot of beautiful artists and customers in Melbourne. You have changed these challenging times into something a lot more bearable and special for me. From working in retail, being a new mother and then running my own business in several lockdowns, making coffees for people nearly everyday whilst still trying to stay creative on the side with has been super hard but so worth it. Without these crazy obstacles, I would’ve never learnt so much within these 2 years💖

I’m enjoying these last couple of weeks of running the cafe but I’ll still be around until December with the pop up art, so watch this space for continuous colourful updates✌🏼🌈🌈🌈

Due to the protest moving into our area, we decided to close for our safety. We apologise to our customers looking forward to purchasing flowers & coffee today but we only wish the best for everyone’s safety in Richmond.
