What an amazing campaign which to me is a perfect response to those short sighted, uneducated campaigns from that rediculous man Clive Palmer and his 🎺🤬.

It IS about respecting all Australians, but let's first acknowledge those we very nearly wiped out to live here and RESPECT the irreparable damage that has done.

I am so humbled to work beside our First Nations people and learn from them daily in how to un-f**k everything if we only opened ourselves and hear what is being said.

It's not an "us" and "them". It's giving space and uniting in any differences.

** The importance of 'In-kind' Partnerships **

It was a pleasure to be asked by our friends to assist them in styling their 'End of Year Thank you Event' to celebrate the incredible milestones and challenges 2024 had presented.

While I added the fluff and bother (cut from my garden 😜 ), the team were in the kitchen preparing the most wonderful canapés from their menu with recipes sourced from the birth nations of their program participants. Pictured here is the gorgeous Luisa bringing a touch of Samoan sunshine while serving the guests ☀️

Reaching out for assistance is the only way Social Enterprises can operate effectively. Any funding sourced should always be pointed in the direction of their mission, and we are very honoured along with Board members, steering committees and many more good people, to answer the call when needed.

As the team are safe food handling certified, RSA trained (and have first aid cert - hopefully not needed often!), we can jump into any situation and lend a hand - perfect for small to no-budget events! Volunteering occasional time when possible is a great way to give back and meet awesome like minded people. There are so many organisations that could do with people putting their hand up. Make 2025 the year to do it. Selfishly - it also feels great!

Very sad to announce our gorgeous Event Coordinator Charlotte has decided to head home back to the White Cliffs of Dover (*she does not live in Dover, but you get the reference).

Charlotte came to us in May with experience in hospo, hotel management, graphic design and special effects make-up, and we immediately saw the potential for some brilliant skill transference into Event Management.

Charlotte has the most brilliant recollection for conversations, figures, email details, directions and more. All unbelievably useful skills for both planning and being on site! Her ability to juggle projects and put out spot fires has made her into an incredibly important part of our team. So much so, we are going to try to keep her as part of our (very) remote team members for time flexible tasks (see how that goes 😜).

Firstly though, of to Africa for a MONTH to continue working towards her goal of 60 countries by the time she is 30...and she is not far off!

Charlotte we will miss having you and your easy going funny nature around. Remember, it isnt goodbye....its see you later (on Google Meet!) xx.

Donate produce or unused food to local rescue organisations such as 🍊🥫

There are so many community or fundraising events that could really benefit from items that are still perfectly usable but you do not wish to store or gain use of again.

Try local ‘Buy Nothing’ pages, or contact Community Centres in your area to offer up used event assets, during your pre-planning phase. 🏷️

Organise stationery rescue from organisations such as for reuse or repurposing. ✏️

A little thought and attention during your event planning phase could have a big impact on your sustainable outcomes. Feel free to reach out to our team if you ever need advice - always happy to help! 👣

On this day we pay our respects to the brave service-people who risked their lives and who’s families often sacrificed so much more all those years ago.

In the current global climate we also recognise how unfathomable it is that many families across the world are going through this exact situation 110 years later. We pray peace will come soon.

Today is World Food Day 🤤 (thanks Google!)

We thought to share our love for services such as and the joy we have found in food again since we have started our regular deliveries of their supermarket rejected, but still incredible, farm fresh produce.

Its now a well known fact that supermarkets have completely unrealistic expectations of produce beauty (that has actually been set by consumers leaving the blemished/misshapen items behind), which means 30% of produce grown will never leave the farm! How crazy is that???

Aside from helping farmers and minimise waste, by purchasing a regular delivery of produce, you will save up to 40% on your fruit and veg bill AND possibly try something new and delicious.

Sustainability isn't just a buzz word for us at Footprint Group Events, we live and breathe low footprint, including how we operate as a business, and the impact our business can really make.

What an absolute honour it is to travel with each quarter, providing professional support while they discuss and make plans for the journey to Treaty in Victoria.

Last week we held 4 days on Wamba Wamba Country in Swan Hill. We listened to Jason Kelly as Ancesters were called to take care of us as visitors to his Country, then as always invited us to take part in the Smoking Ceremony.

Three years later, we are still learning so much about our indigenous culture and First Peoples of this country through this process, and while we maintain absolute respect for our First Nations People to find a resolution for Tradonal Owners of our lands, we are learning through this that Treaty, respect for our true culture and acceptance of history and ways forward is for us all. ❤️💛🖤

Brad and Emma recently had the pleasure of being invited to join FGE client, Monash Health Foundation, for their inaugural Donor Appreciation evening – ‘Hope Grows with You,’ at Melbourne’s iconic Athanaeum Theatre and Library. The event brought together 200 donors, volunteers, and supporters of Monash Health to celebrate gratitude and hope.

The evening featured some uncredible patients sharing inspiring stories, and it was during these moments that we were reminded of why we do what we do. We heard from Hollie who supported her son Hunter in raising $5,000 for ASD research through their inspiring community fundraiser, and Patrick Tessier who recounted his son Bailey's brave battle against brain cancer and the creation of Bailey’s Day, which has raised over $4.3 million for paediatric brain cancer research, since his passing.

The night concluded with a ‘seated boogie’ performance by ‘Eclectic Strings,’ who played modern hits in classical style amidst flickering candles.
