I'm running classes on Monday nights in Briar Hill, everyone is welcome! Bring your parents! Message me if you're interested or for more information. π
I had the most wonderful time running a workshop at the CLC Christmas market. So many happy little faces looking up at me as we made crazy noise and (at some points) cohesive rhythms together π. Such energy! It is truely special how music and self expression draws people in, creating joy and shared experience as community. β¨πͺβ¨
Are you running an event where you wish to cultivate some joy? I would be happy to help. Anything from birthday parties, corporate wellness days or just βsomething differentβ as a catch up with old friends, I can bring the drums and run a workshop for you and your people.
Why?
Drumming makes me say things like, βshimmy shim shim shimaaahβ which, when roughly translated from my inner childβs unique dialect means, βthis is the besssst.β I love sharing this feeling with people and witnessing groups bond over it! β€οΈπͺwww.boomshop.com.au
Business is back open and BoomShop is blooming! It was such fun running a couple of workshops at Melbourne Singing Event's 'Winter Mountain Fest'. Drumming really does shake awake our child within and bring the joy. There's been no better time to warm up our hands and our hearts! If you have an event coming up where you'd like to add a bit of movement and bliss, please be in touch! Open to all ages and abilities β€
Some rhythm for your winter blues
Drumming and your brain - Cornell Coley
Cornell Coley is brilliant. He captures quite succinctly the powerful role that rhythm can play in people's lives. 'We don't teach people to drum, we use drums to heal people.'
