Hi everyone,

As you know, I am a photographer based in Ocean Grove, but have traveled extensively around Victoria (and sometimes internationally) over the last 5 years to capture all sorts of weddings and families.

Also, as you know, I'm taking a hiatus for awhile and am going to be offering MENTORING SESSIONS over the coming months. These can be around anything and everything, including pricing, branding, shooting, directing portrait and family sessions, editing and managing burnout. I may even be able to run weekend workshops, or group sessions if there's enough interest. I will also be offering gift vouchers for these :-)

I never write these things about myself 😬 but whilst I am self taught, I have been featured in White Magazine, Hello May, Cosmopolitan Bride, GT Bride, as well as on Ivory Tribe, Polka Dot Bride and Vogue among others.

You took me through your wonderful world first through the amazing spaces you created, and then with your incredible vulnerability as you battled your illness - it is a legacy that will be carried forward and not forgotten.

That I got to say these things to you before you left us was also an incredible gift that I will cherish forever.

All of my love is with you, wherever you are, as well as with your beautiful Luke, Smith, & Vogue.

A little over a decade ago, I picked up a point and shoot camera for a weekend away at the beach with my then boyfriend (now husband). I took a picture of him with his surfboard ready to jump in the water, and my love of this medium was born - it’s still my favourite shot out of the many hundreds of thousands I’ve taken to this day.

Many of you will have your own favourites of the moments I’ve captured over the years, and whilst I have enjoyed immensely those many moments I’ve been able to witness, this last 6 years or so has been somewhat of a rollercoaster. I have laughed, I have cried (lots), ridden highs, suffered lows, made the most amazing friends (both clients and colleagues), but most of all I have worked and worked and worked.

The time has come to step back.

I want to be clear that this is not a covid casualty situation, and that this decision has been made by me, and not for me. It is time for rest, recuperation, and for the nurturing and witnessing of my own family’s memories for a little while.

This job is fun, but it is also gruelling, stressful and to be honest, at times really tough. I have been lucky to have been able to build my business up, but this has also meant it is unrelenting, and it has taken its toll on me.

I am forever indebted and grateful to the people who have believed in me from the start, and those that have given me the chance to capture the moments I have - it’s meant I’ve achieved things I never could have dreamed of - so thank you!

Rest assured if you are a current client, everything remains as normal. If you have enquired with me recently I will be getting back to you shortly with some recommendations - I want to thank you for your patience with me on this.

A few weeks ago, Shonel of .your.girls asked me to do the most important job of my life. Capturing a vow renewal with her husband Luke along with her children, and in front of friends and family. If you haven’t heard Shonel’s story, please head to her page 🤍

I’m finding it really hard to articulate exactly what this day has meant for me…but more and more I feel it was the day I got to look at life, real life with all of it’s intricacies - deep love, deep sadness, lasting friendships, much laughter and true heartbreak.

I felt such a sense of calm when I finished that day, and I think that’s because I know that being in these moments - living in the moment - is truly all we have.

I am so grateful that it was me who got to capture this for you, and I am so grateful for the gift that’s come with that responsibility. Thank for showing me the moments, thank you for showing me the love, and thank you for showing me how to let that love in.

I promise to carry these gifts forward with me, always ✨
