FAQ

Do we need to wash the table cloths & napkins before we bring them back?

Nup! We aren’t that mean!

We actually ask that you don’t wash them as your washing detergent can mess with ours. Much easier to leave the dirty stuff to us!

We do ask that they are air dried before putting in the linen bags so they don’t grow mould (I know, charming right!!) before we have them returned to us.

FAQ

How long is our hire period?

Our standard hire is 5 days.

If the order is ready to go before the allocated pickup date, we are happy to extend the hire & release it earlier. We are able to let you know if this is possible one week prior to your event.

We do require the linen back on the first business day following your event date so we can get it to the laundry to remove the food/wine/wax & all the other lovely stuff that ends up on our table linens!

FAQ

Do the napkins come pre folded?

Our napkins come individually pressed flat. This means no pressed in fold marks which can stand out on some napkin display styles.

If you would like us to pre-fold your napkins for your venue, we certainly can do so for $1 each.

FAQ

Will my table cloths go to the floor on the tables?

I know this sounds silly but it depends on the dimensions of your tables! We need your tables width, length & height as all tables are different.

There is no “STANDARD” size trestle. If you can provide these details, we can provide that answer!

We do however quote for enough table cloths to touch the floor on each end of your long table setup as in this background photo.

The more information you can give us in regards to your table dimensions, the better advice we can provide as to the ‘on the day’ look.

Where do we get our table cloths & napkins from?

We make all of our table cloths, napkins & table runners in house.

MADE IN MELBOURNE.

You can visit George & Mung from our sister business The Naperer .naperer in our Hawthorn showroom.

Making our hire range in house means we have a consistent product in size, colour & detail. We can also make custom sizes for our clients should they need for their event or home!

Can you use real candles on our table cloths?

You can BUT...

We ask that all candlelight is placed on a base that won’t drip on to the table cloths or runners.

Candles can not sit directly on the table cloth/runners.

For any candle wax larger than 2cm diametre, our client will be charge a labour cost to remove it.

The best thing you can do to save the table cloths (our priority) and enable your candles to burn all night long (generally your priority) is to use glass sleeves over the candles. These protect the flame from airflow such as airconditioners & wind which can burn your candle down pretty damn quickly and make a big wax mess which you will be required to pay for.

A gentle reminder that Table Art has glass sleeves for your tapered candles & marble trays or glass vases for your pillar candles available to hire…

Do I need to know my floorplan to get a quote?

It definitely helps!

Even a starting floorplan is better than none at all. It will always change and that’s completely fine!

It makes a huge difference in the end price as 20 trestle tables of 1.8m long individually set is $400 more than the same number of trestle tables joined in one row.

We will always quote you on the most cost effective option for your floorplan. Its worth getting this information to us at the start from your venue.

Nup! We offer a hire service for table cloths, napkins & table runners. We arent a styling company, nor do we offer that service. We can assist you with advice as to how to style our fabrics & can recommend florists, venues, furniture hire, vase/styling accessories & stationery businesses to achieve your desired look.

If you need a stylist or an on the day planner/coordinator, we can certainly recommend some wonderful businesses for you.

We know what side our bread is buttered and our event stylists are our clients…we know we are good at fabrics and we will just stick to that!

I spy with my little eye…lots of new napkins!!!

And that’s a wrap! It’s really all a bit surreal really…10 months of lockdown and then essentially the same amount of work squeezed into 2 months! I am soooo proud of our little team that have grown from Georgia & I (Allie) at the start of the year to now a team of 7 headstrong women 🙌 I still believe we work in the best industry in the world and have managed to survive the hardest time in business in our generation AND come out stronger at the other end (alas a little chubbier). Happy New Year everyone ❤️
