As we tap our hands higher up the body, the pitch rises, and as we tap lower, the pitch falls.
This exercise helps children understand pitch by using their bodies to create a visual representation of musical notes.
By engaging in this activity, children are learning in three ways simultaneously: visually, through observing the movement; kinaesthetically, through the touch of tapping; and aurally, through listening to the pitch changes!
