I was trying to work with the when I was in Melbourne and we always found our schedules clashed. When I took a one month holiday in Japan back in 2023, I noticed he was posting photos of himself in Tokyo. So I reached out and asked if he wanted to collaborate and lo and behold he was up for it. We spent the day roaming Shinjuku.

Ignoring messages from a photographer can have serious consequences, both professionally and personally. When models or clients fail to respond, it disrupts communication and can stall important aspects of the project, such as scheduling, location details, or creative direction. This behavior mirrors the harmful effects of ostracism, where the ignored party feels excluded and disrespected. Just as ostracism can lead to feelings of isolation and frustration, neglecting communication with a photographer can strain relationships, harm reputations, and create an environment of distrust. In the creative industry, where collaboration and respect are key, failure to engage can ultimately hinder the success of the project.

It's crucial not to judge a photographer based on their appearance, as their value lies in their talent and the quality of their work rather than their outward look. Many models, however, may find themselves making snap judgments about a photographer based on superficial aspects, like how they look or present themselves, instead of focusing on their artistic abilities.

A prime example of this is a photographer who, despite the initial perception, took the extra step of "heating" or refining the photos after the shoot, elevating their quality even further. This demonstrates that a photographer’s skill, professionalism, and dedication to the craft often shine through in the final product, regardless of how they might appear in person.

It’s important for models and clients to focus on the work itself and the photographer's ability to capture great moments, rather than making assumptions based on appearance.

A photographer doesn't necessarily need to be covered in tattoos, have long hair, blue eyes, etc. to be competent in their craft.
