Having spent hours hand crafting these delicate sugar flowers, planning this design out & piecing it all together on the day, just for it to fall to pieces. Our weather had other plans for this cake! Due to the unfortunate circumstances, I had to make a decision whether to stick with the original plan, (that mightn’t even make it to the cake cutting) or go against the brides wishes and re design the cake 3 hours before the ceremony. 🫣
Sometimes, as a professional you have to make these calls, and I’m glad I did. Which wouldn’t have been possible without some much needed advice from jaz
I’m a strong believer that everything happens for a reason, and even though this cake was beautiful, the re design was even greater. Just another lesson learnt as a self taught cake maker, you can’t compete with the Aussie weather 🥵 & a massive thank you to the beautiful bride for being so understanding 💫

It’s been a crazy couple of months juggling all of these cakes, a full time job and the unpredictable weather! But we managed to pull them off 👏🏼🫶🏼 Nothing would be possible without the help of , lifting all the wedding cakes, photographing them all, and sacrificing his weekends & work to help me 🩷
