This weekend, my husband Clark and I took a quick trip to Hobart to meet with my sister Claire and her fiancé Gihan, whose wedding I’ll be officiating in February. It’s so exciting to be officiating a ceremony in beautiful Hobart!

It was great to start signing documents, check out their venue, and discuss the finer details. This ceremony is extra special, as I’m not just their celebrant but also a bridesmaid.

To anyone visiting Hobart, I highly recommend the Riversdale Estate high tea. Check out that majestic view! We enjoyed the most yummy cakes, scones and delicious tea and coffee, as well as brilliant service! 😋

We've been chatting about —so, what comes next after approving your perfect ceremony script? The big day! It's my honour to officiate your marriage and handle all the legal paperwork so you receive your marriage certificate soon after.

The next step in our journey will be a special questionnaire sent from me to you to help capture the heart of your unique love story. This is such a wonderful opportunity to sit down with your partner and reminisce about the journey you’ve shared.

You might even invite a close friend or family member to help you reflect on those beautiful memories and moments that make your relationship special.

This happens about 3-6 months before your ceremony, so get ready to take a trip down memory lane as we create a wedding ceremony that truly reflects your love! 💖

As soon as you get engaged, the questions/comments are usually not far behind. "When? Where? You must invite your third cousin Russell (who you've never met) from Albania!” My advice is always to take it one step at a time...

➡ Celebrant - lock them in roughly a year from your wedding date

Today, I’m excited to share the beautiful wedding of Alix and Kaitlen, who tied the knot recently at the stunning Villa Vedas in Bali.

Nestled in the peaceful Tabanan area, Villa Vedas offers breathtaking ocean views and is just a stone's throw away from the iconic Tanah Lot temple. The villa’s modern design, with its endless infinity glass walls and luxurious amenities, created a dreamy backdrop for their special day.

Alix and Kaitlen chose Bali because it held a special place in their hearts. Alix proposed here, and they wanted to recreate that magic with their loved ones. “We wanted to create another special moment in Bali, surrounded by our family and friends,” they shared. 🌺

From fireworks on the beach to traditional balinese fire dancing, Bali's cultural richness and natural beauty made their wedding unforgettable for their family and friends.

Did you know celebrants are qualified Australia-wide? I’m thrilled to share that I’ll be officiating my little sister Claire’s wedding in stunning Hobart to her partner Gihan this February!

Claire and Gihan’s love story spans two states—Victoria, where Claire grew up and met Gihan, and Tasmania, where Gihan was raised and where they now live happily together.

After careful consideration, they chose Hobart for their big day. Why? It felt the most authentic to them and their story. As Claire told me - 'First I fell in love with Gihan, then I fell in love with Tasmania. I can't imagine marrying him anywhere else!'.

Here are three creative ways to keep them close:

➡️ Frame Them: Print and frame your vows to display at home, keeping your promises always in sight. As your celebrant, I provide your vows to you in booklet form which is both practical for your big day and pretty enough to frame.

➡️ Engrave Them: Get your vows (or your favourite sentence or word!) engraved on a ring, piece of jewellery, or decorative item for a unique keepsake.
