What a weekend. We’ve had some “down to the wire” finishes to this event over the years, but this is the first time that the commencement of the Hammer came down to the wire!

But we did it, had a few hiccups, but we got through them, thanks to the efforts of the crew from South Pacific Bowling and our own back end technicians. All these guys went above and beyond to make sure that the Hammer not only went ahead, but was as drama free as possible. Considering a few of the lanes hadn’t even had any games rolled on them prior to the squads starting our issues really were minimal.

Thank YOU - the bowlers who continue to support Caboolture Bowl and this event - you accepted the delays and manual scoring in good faith and spirit, and we appreciate it.

Thanks also to the crew in the cafe and front counter for their efforts, especially on 2 very late nights!

Congratulations to Dena and George on their victories.

We are very excited to announce that our install is almost complete, and whilst lane availability remains EXTREMELY LIMITED this weekend, we will be back to full lane capacity on MONDAY 20th January 2025😊

Looking forward to seeing everyone back on the lanes for league and social play - we’ve missed you! Thank you for your patience and understanding over the last three weeks or so while we have navigated one of the biggest projects undertaken by our centre in a while, and hope that you think it was worth it, because we certainly do!

With the 2025 league competition about to get underway, it is appropriate to issue a gentle reminder to all bowlers that bowling IS a sport, and one which is enjoyed by people of all ages and skill levels. Whether you are an avid league bowler, or a total newbie, it is important to follow proper etiquette and courtesies when you hit the lanes in our centre, or indeed any centre you play in. We want you to have fun, be competitive and avoid any embarrassing moments that may occur because you inadvertently do the wrong thing!

Over the next few days we will share some of the important things which need to be observed during league and tournament play 🎳

***ATTENTION LEAGUE BOWLERS***

With the 2025 season about to commence (next week for night leagues and the following week for day leagues) the team have been busy confirming your return for the new year - HOWEVER - a lot of phone numbers have been proven invalid; they haven’t answered; or we simply don’t have current contact details.

If you are intending on returning to league, and haven’t been contacted by anyone yet, please call the bowl directly on 54956000 asap so that we can get you in the system. For some reason we have a lot of potential new bowlers this year lined up waiting to grab any vacancies that arise, so don’t risk losing your spot!

(Anyone wanting to join our Caboolture family, please don’t hesitate to call and put your name down on the waiting list!)

So here we are 6 days into the actual pinsetter installation….

A lot of you are very eager for it to be finished so you can came and test them out, and so are we….however what you may not be aware of is the amount of work that is needed in the background.

Sure, we took the old machines out, all we have to do is put the new ones in where the old ones were - right? If only it was that simple😂

Backboards have had to come out, ball returns completely serviced, wiring changed from single phase to phase 3, computer motherboards installed and updated…..the list goes on! So many things to do and only so many hours in the day to do it.

Our techs, and those from South Pacific Bowling, are literally working their slots off to have everything working first time, every time, so that our centre can be back to normal sooner rather than later, so please bear with us a little bit longer while we make sure all the “ I”s are dotted and the “t”s crossed. We promise it won’t be very long now, and that it will be worth the wait!
